I believe we played well, you have to consider the opponents tactics and I just thought we kept trying to the end and it paid off

New Balance try loseing to Lincoln City twice in a week, York City etc etc like I have done, it is depressing…for about 5 minutes.
I have other more important concerns than worrying about a football team, any team. I am not damming passion, which you must have but that is at its most pre match for me. What transpires, nobody knows, so we just shake our heads and apportion blame, as we see it. I think it is the era we live in now, I am from a forgotter era and you may well be right and I am in dreamland
If I had a wish for football it would be fans need to be less tribal, understand the game better and get on better with each other.

This discussion goes to the very heart of football as we used to know it. Today, fans first talk about money,players fees and ownerships. Just try and go to a match and enjoy 22 players on the pitch, sometimes opposing players do show great pieces of skill and I would applaud that. If the opposing keeper makes a good save, I say so. Far more enjoyment to the match. The days when just a few teams were far too strong for the others are gone, now we have at least 6 teams with a chance plus a few “outsuders” I watch a game of football, first and foremost then hope my team win, if not I hope to have seen them trying to win the match. City’s financial strength to day does not guarantee them anything, we did not do it last year or the year before with the same situation. Our owners have been here 10 seasons now, completely re built the club structure and culture and we are doing well, spent a considerable amount on infra structure, all that is still not a guarantee because other clubs will have a motivation as well and they will all battle until mathamatical certanty prevails and we are a long way off that yet.

Some fans think they have a divine right to win games and finish top. I hope we do have more “Leicesters” in the coming years as well. Why cannot fans just enjoy a football match?

The gap between Academy teams and First team is too wide. They should have kept a second team league going but make it competitive by offering something different as well, so they will have the incentive to get into a team, play well and next step to first team

There is a determination in this team, we can expect more to play like Huddersfield, I do not blame the for playing a defensive game but they have to show more ambition as well if they want to progress. Two home games comeing up now,6 points needed

As you say, one game at a time, the 17 so far are consigned to history and providing all the players are fit then they just need to focus. I understand people are saying it is more pressure now, but from what. Do they think the opposing teams have no pressure. Make no mistake Huddersfield will want something from this game as well, so, they have pressure also

Jim, I think it was one of those games where we were expected to win with comfort, reality is far from that. As a team I thought we did what we had to and against a team who appeared to want to get something from the game, This is never easy playing teams like this. True the first half could have had a little more zip but we have to accept we cannot be in free flow all the time. I like the general attitude of the players, they, know, we have won nothing, yet, and will continue to work hard, this we are seeing. It is now down to Pep until Christmas is over, His tactics and team selection will be important. We do need a couple of players to strengthen us though. We are more than capable, so the old cliche….game at a time comes to mind

I think many of us agree, a CB is priority, followed by a LB, Agree Delph doing a great job though but we have no back up, Danilo in that position does not look comfortable but credit to him he does his best

Can anyone name an easy fixture? Banana skins, Refs decisions, either way. Missed penalties, sending off are all in the mix.
I just look at it and think the next game is important and always give the opposition 50% chance of winning at the start.Teams at the bottom rank equaly important because to be in the Premier you have to have something about you and at some stage these teams are all capable of springing a surprise._____________________________

Agree…it was sad, they are playing in a team which lacks confidence, little direction and organisation and owners who probably think now they are in a big ground they will be top of league. Should have stayed at Upton Park, they will struggle if they loose support. Moyes has a massive problem on his hands

Surrey Blue….I have a lot of those moments. Danilo was never going to be first choice but he is experienced and will do a job as back up. Not sure he will be with us next season though

Jim…another Robbens then. Agree with most of your comment the only thing is he just needs to give himself those extra seconds to think about a little more. He is always dangerous no matter where he plays and he has good feet, just needs that little extra thinking time where he will put the ball…decision makeing, I guess. I do like him as a player, he just frustrates me because like you, I know how good he can be
