I am just going to sit back and enjoy listening to what should be a good game of football. It could go either way. I doubt it will be a scorless game but lets just enjoy the match and 22 players. Hope a good Ref on as well

Jim..there was the usual twist though, although he acknowledged Forrest outplayed them in every department he thought Arsenal were unlucky. I just cannot understand this guy I can understand how the fans are frustrated though

I wonder what teams like Stoke, Southampton Bristol City, Huddersfield etc etc when they face Mourinho’s team, all that money they have against what they have. Always two sides to a coin. Jose, in his own way tries to de satbalise those above him, in other words the same old mind games, when he looses he will move on to the next project

Well you are right Newblance..the game has become statiscally controlled by those who wish to think it is a science…science it is not and fans do take it as life or death most aspects of the game. We have to acknowledge the fact that it is run by the media now and if for example one of the media nerds wants to develop issues on ca certain player or manager they will make it a “project” Truth or reality does not enter into it, the fans get sucked in, hysteria prevails
I believe because of the above fans do not love the game as much now because they are pre conditioned We also have an ever increasing armchair fans, they are important for the media because they in turn attract the “ads” and revenue they enjoy at some stage the bubble will burst and we may get back to a less tribal fan base and start enjoying the game of football from 22 players

Still unbeaten, clean sheet, I am not complaining. A few of the team do look as though they need a rest. Sane dissapoints me with this kind of performance, he should have been start man to day.Sterling certainly pepped them up a notch but we need Silva back, he would have opened up Palace

With you on this both can be used if they accept rotation and why not, at there ages better to re charge batteries every other game or so and with games combing thick and fast should be no shortage of game time. However, we do have a budget…let’s not forget that. It is not an unlimited pot as some would think

Vid..wants to go to Liverpool…that is his wish…why would we want a player who sees us as second choice because of higher salary…no for me. Currently we have best defence in the table, so no need to panic..let’s get the right player

One small part in solving this as follows
Lets say Player A fouls Player B, who then is injured to the extent he has to leave the pitch, a Yellow card is shown….Play continues…10 v11…so the aggressor wins. I think the law should change on this point. Player A has to leave the pitch for the same amount of time, thereby no advantage gained to the aggressor…as it should be. Extend the Red card suspension time. If more han two Red cards are shown to same team..fine the club as well These will not affect the big problems we are faced with but tightening the rules will help. I think there are a few other apspects that need looking at as well…..like…goalkeepers wasteing time or any time wasteing tactic. Players down injured should be carried off imediately, no waiting around or even stopping the game. Finaly…take the watch off the Referee…It should be timed electronicaly, NO added time. The game is 90 minutes Merry Christmas to all

The players have the biggest resposibility, for some , it is part of there game, it has to be stopped, fines alone are not the answer, maybe heavy fines and suspensions with no wages. The problem is , who will judge this, there we have the other weakness in the game, first it must be done by old players who have retired and know the game AND can be trusted with impartiality
Some pundits I would not trust

I do not like compareing players from a different era and level of football. There is no doubt in my mind for the era Colin Bell was in he was supreme and if he was to play in to days squad I have no doubt his game will have changed as someone as pointed out, pitch quality, equipment and training facilities, that I understand. I do not believe you can make a 1:1 comparison though. KDB is a very special and unique player, probably go on to be better than Ronaldo and Messi…he has time and the ability. It is his all round game that is impressive even to chasing 3/4 players without the ball against Spurs, I can only think of Tevez, Dichov doing that SO, for me, they are BOTH my greatest City players but Frank Swift is still my No1!!!!!!

apart from KDB who is on another planet, thought Mangala,Gungdogan and Delph had good games. Augerr off pace a little but no denying his sffort. Fernandinho with KDB took charge of the game. Well played City and a noticable lift in the choirs performance

There is nothing new in this Nine, it is just a matter of scale, always has been. At this moment City are doing well, they are well managed club, debt free and planning for the future. There is nothing to stop any other club from finding a benifactor. Dont forget we also have a tendency to compare clubs at the top but the clubs in lower divisions the same logic applies, they see all Premier clubs more rich, take a club like Bury or a >fallen: giant all had opportunities. The subject is wide ranging and you cannot single out a club like City, our wonderful status at the moment has no guarantees but City fans will enjoy the moment and hope it will continue at least another decade, that is not saying we will win everything as well. Enjoy the game of football and let others worry about the finances
