Chuky, I think current format getting tired, UEFA and Europa, they are looking for more investment by creating the same thing under a different name…..you could not make it up, how inept they are
Clubs will get fed up with there mismanagement and go it alone I think with TV assist, which will, of course also give more power to the TV companies to mess the fans about again, plus they will also see it as cutting out the “middle man UEFA”_____________________________

Reading through all the comments it is easy to say ALL pundits and media writers ARE biased….well….yes they are. That is not going to change so lets get on with it unless we, as fans, start writing something like…”is this the last of Gary Lineler” now that would be wonderful for footy fans I believe

Thanks Jim, I guess Liverpool now know what we see most weeks. Nothing is certain in football.
I know the media had the demise of City after the Liverpool game and they would be the team to beat from this point but they have to adjust there headlines again. To night they will have there pencils sharp waiting for a slip again….maybe they do not use pencils anymore_____________________________

It is not just City/PSG also Utd, Chelsea B. Munich/Real M. Barcelona, Juventas,Inter etc they have to put a case to and I cannot see them upsetting status quo. Maybe those clubs will think we can do without UEFA and that is when the possibilty of the American system may pop up. Football is looseing itself

UEFA need to take this long to work out a plan which will ultimately fail…but they do not care, they get there fat salaries and expenses. Are they trying to work out a system that you can only have so much money invested? How on earth do they propose that? As to debts…they need to look at themselve because the cost of running such an organisation should not be sky high, Programming is not expensive guys and they do little else to justify other than getting themselves prime seats for free They are a worthless bunch of hypocrites

20th January 2018 at 11:56 am in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #13120Fans, forum member from whatever site all should accept responsibity for trying to regain a fan culture we had years ago. I can not understand why fans do not want to stand /sit side by side in peace, at a football match and watch 22 players with equal measure. It does not mean you do not support your team The game has gone tribal and if it continues it will strangle itself Another side affect is the cost of poiicing…if fans behaved there would be no need for police, a huge saveing for some clubs. The question then to be asked , the fans who complain about match costs , are they the ones that are increasing the costs? I believe the majority of fans would like a better environment but it is up to them as well, the disruptive element should not be let in and banned from football grounds The media could play a useful part in this as well I know I am dreaming with this scenario and the reality is, it will be hard to change the current trend

20th January 2018 at 11:41 am in reply to: Facelift for Match Of The Day: Presenter and 'Pundits' #13117Lineker is over indulged by the BBC in my opinion. The costs of putting him in that chair is obscene for a notional amount of worthwhile comment on the games. I do not consider him any more an expert over a real fan, let alone others who would be better at a fraction of the cost.

One thing for sure,as with all theses obscene amounts….it will filter back down to the fans, real ones and whoever follows sponsored products. A new kit is a certainty

I think we can see out this season without another striker, we are not likely to get a top man in January either. I still think we need a younger Yaya/Fernandinho….Foden not ready yet…Fred looks a reasonable invetsment, good player and still young. I think he will go for Evans now but get a top class CB in the summer with a striker

Out of the blue, we are suddenly in decline!!!!!! One game and despite our woeful defending against Liverpool which gave them the game who has the best defence in the Premier, Chelsea, by one goal, now compare that to Goals scored…..I have no reason to be pessimistic because we lost a game by the odd goal or that other teams will follow Liverpools fine performance. Any one of the other Managers would swop positions right now. Come on City…Get a couple of class signings, get Mendy and Jesus back and we are rolling again

I take the view that Sanchez is no more than a two season signing at the best, so the inflated figure does not make sense when alternative players can be bought, younger. He will fit Utd more than City, although I am sure Pep would have had him working in a different way. Good player but he may have priced himself out with City, the moral would be…do not think City will pay that kind of money just because we can. Wenger still the loser, he missed out on the 60 Million, and still cannot find a replacement…why was he not looking earlier I would prefer the money spent on a strong defensive midfielder to back up Fernandinho, who is overplayed at the moment

Wenger only plays for a CL place, that is his limitation and ambition then claim he qualifies every year but with never a chance of winning it

Cracking game, two best teams in the Premier…we have to start another run until the end of the season. I would like to see us with a good physical CB, this is where we miss Kompany but I fear his days are numbered now. We lost possession too many times to day. Pity one team had to loose but we have to take it on the chin and learn a few lessons before we k.o again.

I watched this a couple of days ago and thought it was like yesterday when I watched him in goal against City. A good keeper, probably better than they have now part of a strongLiverpoolteam of that era

This forum has nothing to prove. A good lot of fans from different clubs well managed….quality. before quantity. I enjoy the different views despite not being in agreement with all comments but, so far no tribal nonsense

Without a doubt, Sanchez is a good player, would I want him at City, yes, providing we do not pay silly money. Wenger always derides our wealth but does not mind lifting the price because it is City, a bit hypocritical, however, he may well get his money but that is no worry because he will probably not spend it anyhow, looks better on the balance sheet
