Next season will be a different team and I guess others will change also. Pep will plan even more carefully next season, I still do not see a plan B arriving and a further attackin season will be the style of play.

Chuky…have to agree with those comments. Football is going mad, I am even considering giving my season card up next season after supporting them 74 yrs..the only thing I cling on to at the moment is City are good to watch and will get better next season but the rest of the stupidity that goes with it I can do without

WE will have to respectfully disaree on this Hightown. In my view, the game is going downhill
1. Players behaviour on the pitch, ametuer theatrics etc for the money they are paid
2.The control of the game by TV
3 Fan behaviourI think just three teams have set out to entertain, City, Liverpool and Spurs, it has not always worked out but it is still enjoyable watching them try instead of parking bus’s
I just wanted to make a point that somehow the trend needs reversing but I do not know how in this era and maybe juust me being an old fogey wanting the days when I could stand next to a Newcastle, Utd, Liverpool etc fan and have a good chat, Not a policeman or steward in sight. As the song goes “Those were the days” That is why I am so bored with the hype on just about everything in football
I am not interested in what Yaya has for breakst, what car Martial drive or what shaving cream Milner etc use….I am sure they are for the extra cash but when is some coming the fans way by lower ticket prices? A totally unfair sport for fans_____________________________

Hightown…I can see where you are coming from but you have also highlighted the real problem On Policing…if fans behaved themselves there would only be a need for a token presence I am not against standing, if done properly but no insurance company is going to risk that or if they do it will push premiums up so high , that will be passed on to fans, as Policing is. You cannot keep blameing Police and Stewards for what should be common sense responsibility of fans, We are going backwards, more Police and Stewards are not the answer but better fan behaviour is. I am not aiming this at any club fan base but the decline in behaviour has to be reversed

We burned out again, if we are to play this way, then you have to use subs earlier to give fresh legs. We should have started with Augerro though, after all, he is our No 1 striker, so why he on the bench

I cannot help thinking that warm weather break benifitted the stupid friendly internationals more than it did City and perhaps timeing could have been better. Whys do they time these internationals at an important part of the season, any club involved must curse them

When I saw the team sheet I thought,we are “to lightweight up front”, at HT I still thought that and Utd would come back. We are leavng too much for Fernandinho to do, he was well overworked and only got a breather when KDB came on. We all have opinions onhow the team should have been selected but Sterling, was pitiful We looked “leggy” 10 minutes into the second half when Utd began getting to grips and that should have been the time to change at least three players. It makes me wonder where the priorities did lie, for me the Utd match was priority, what better to have gone into the Liverpool as Champions. I fear Mr Klopp has seen enough and he knows exactly what to do, he knows we will play the same way…..it has been a long season and City fans have had the pleasure of watching some outstnding football but the squad needs to sharpen up. I am now convinced that Pep will go for some aggression next season and will have singled some players out to arrive at the Etihad Credit Utd yesterday, after being outplayed and some fortunate decisions they put in a gritty performance and stuck at it. On Pogba, although he scored two goals was unconvincing, a younger Yaya he is certainly not. Sanchez, Utd was his choice but like at Arsenal couuld finish winning nothing. Utd will have to bring in more as well to make a chllenge. It is only money!!!!!

The City lads and Pep need to get this right, never mind Liverpool, the fans want to win this match first and foremost, we look at Liverpool after the game. I would like the strongest team on the pitch and I do not want to see empty spaces like we gave Liverpool for the opening goal or even the second goal because Utd have players who can punish just like Liverpool. We need to get on with our game quickly and score early then keep the momentum like we have done before. Utd will not stop until time plus is up, so let us have a Champions performance and set us up for Liverpool, which is duable in my opinion. I hark back to when City were at Spurs 3 down at HT and played the last 45 with 10 men and won…more of that please

The point is nobody wants to see scenes like last night. It was pre planned, the police knew, even offered route information but most of all, it was a massive step backwards initiated by hundreds of people. Can we expect more for other teams? It needs to be nipped in the bud or Liverpool f.c will be tarnished and I would not want that on them. On the football side, have no excuses for City performance, whatever the reason we did not have the same desire as in previous matches, however, after giving me a lot of pleasure over the season some games will happen like this. Hopefully not to frequent.

OZ…yes I know what you are saying but you qualified….that, to me means you are good enough. You will not be the worst team there and as I said previously , the experience will do the management and squad a lot of good. In saying all that, I wish all countries would stop going to Russia.

I have stopped buying Manchester E.N. because of the bias it openly displays, One less purchaser, I am sure they will not loose any sleep over it but the days when they had decent and fair reporting are long gone, eventually there will be more people like me and lets see what there cirulation manager says then

Sean…I think no team will dominate. Liverpool will have there 45 minutes, so will City. It should be a game of the season I just hope everyone behaves themselves and not spoil it

Like it or not we are all in a serious position with this Russian affair, to think otherwise would be foolish. Any fans going will get some kind of treatment but they now know that before they book there t sounds like not good decision making to me and what about there families worrying about them when they are away…any thought for them….just to watch a football match….madness

On the subject of Silva and Coutinho. I only saw Coutinho for a couple of seasons, good but not for 90 minutes, Silva we have watched for close on 10 seasons I think, consistency is the word.
In my early years of watching football yoy would willing pay to watch a player, no matter what team, Matherws, Finney Swift etc I have not had that feeling with modern footballers until Silva came along, brilliant footballer and person, shuns the limelight and loyal, what more can a team ask for. One thing for sure, any team faceing him will have him as priority to stop_____________________________

The punishiment has to fit the crime. I cannot understand any of these so called starts do not employ a driver/taxi company, should easily go on the expense bill I would have thought, so why, why, do they put themselve and others at risk? The guy knows he has a problem but just compounds it
His job maybe stressful but like millions of others who have to drive to go to work or travel up and down the country there can be no excuses_____________________________

22nd March 2018 at 8:58 pm in reply to: MΓΈlby pretty sure Liverpool will beat City in the CL #18597Hightown, I take your point but where do you draw the line? If it keeps escalating then control will be lost and it would be to dangerous to go to a match. The Home team will always have an advantage as far as vocal levels go but I do not see why that should be intimidating. The Players do not bother about it I am sure, most are well experienced in big events. There was a time, in my lifetime when you rarely saw a policemann at much larger crowds than we have now. Where I do agree with you is the tribal nature of the modern game developed by Marketing, media and stupid pundits
I fear the game will be lost in the UK and fans must share that blame_____________________________
