Nine…I think this is evenly balanced and will depend on a moment of brilliance or whoever defense falls apart. I would have Willy in goal though in case it goes to penalties…he is good at stopping them

Newbalance…I think Jesus will be much better next season. This year he has grafted away and taken a lot of stick. I know he will have learned something from this and we will see something different next season, he is certainly quick, too quick at times, leading to offsides, but he has clever players around him.Impossible to pick a man of the match but that goal of KDB’s was certainly worth the admission fee

That City performance was just about the best football I have ever seen for 90 minutes and over the years I have seen a lot of good football It was nice Yaya got some minutes and young Foden looks to be heading in the right direction, Mendy…I had to admire his comments saying he has a fight to get his place back from Delph who he thought has been superb. Nice comeing from a teammate, not expecting a walk in but has to deserve his place. Delph has matured a lot this season and could do well for England, I am not even sure he is in the squad

The players have voted, I respect that, well done Salah. I would like to see other positions recognised rather than strikers or goalkeepers and why do they vote now with 5 matches to go to the end of the season, are they saying the last matches mean nothing or is it that it fits a convenient calendar event. Does not appear right to me

21st April 2018 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Tottenham Hotspur V Manchester United – FA CUP Semi Final 17:15 BBC #20784Utd deserved the win. Fitter and quicker than Spurs. Think Davies, Vorm, Ali and Kane had poor games. I also thought you shaped better when Lucas and lamela came on. Ud though played as if they knew they would win. Lingard is a fine player but needs to cut out his niggling falls and complaing to the Ref, he will not get all decisions. Agree with MotM..Sanchez played well to day

SRD you were right about one thing “football has become bonkers”

SRD no…club football is about where and how you have been brought up in football terms. Our Geat country has not an unblemished past but this kind of argument is a non starter for me. Subjects like this have a bad habit of being selective over a given period

Blaze..if the only reason, as you suggest, City lost a couple of games because of him, he has not done too bad for the rest and just check Cit goals against column. Otemendi has improved considerably, I am not sure about him in the selection but other players must think highly of him. As for Augerro…Mr consistent, he is always amongst the goals and should have been selected years ago, will always baffle me why he was not…..Hightown…just as it baffles you about Firmino

I would go for Butland, little to choose between Pope and and Pickford, All three are relatively inexperienced in big atmosphere playing, for that reason I would take Hart but not as No1

NB…correct but its “swings and roundabouts” in different time era’s that is what makes the whole subject pointless. It cannot be defined by discussion. Pep will buy wonderful but one day he will buy somebody that does not fit the bill, I hope not, but it will happen, as it will with ALL managers. I have no doubt a lot of spending will take place this summer, who spens what on who, to me, is irelevant, what I want to see is a team playing together like we have seen this season and getting results to match. As a fan we cannot do anything about anything else, my own take in watching football is when the game finishes, no matter what the score…its history, and move on to the next game look to the future

Ed, with respect…I do not belueve City/Utd “risk” money in the way you suggest. City’s stance on Sanchez should tell you that Plus “No fans of City, Utd PSG should take the moral high ground” I think you have that wrong, it is usually a club that champions how little they spend

NB I do not like the idea of the game being being “systematicaly organised” Just better control by officials

VAT should be limited to goal line technology only until the Refereeing standards improve or we are going to have these situations re visited at HT and FT repeatidly

“other elements involved to generating success” that is what I mean NB. Everyone is to self centered on the money aspect. Money availabilty is here to stay around probably another 4/5 years bwefore the bubble burst or the world does really go to war. We, the fans, can do nothing about it, whoever has the money will invest where they think best, the fans will have nothing to do with it, waste of time arguing who has spent more or less, that will always be the case. Another anolgy would be City/Untitd/Liverpool etc spend millions more than Ason Villa, Leiceter Middlesborough etc…it is the same equation. Fans have a tendency to point out differences between the top four and that is unrealistic to the game as a whole. There is another side to the story
We got lucky in having a sensible owner but there will be more, the lure is very real in attracting more, some, however, will not be good investors Money should attract success but money does not guarantee success, particularly season on season. Next year, a clean slate for all. I believe Klopp is a good manager who can handle these situations but in a way suffers from the same problem Pep has…his style is defined…OK when you are winning and have a strong squad but running out of steam is a result that will happen to many, so squad strength and balance is more important than a few expensive players who may or may not fit. So , if Managers are so good why do they not see who will fit before they sign them?_____________________________

To much emphasis on spend ability. First and foremost is the coaching and players who knit as a team. Why all this discussion on spend and money is not the point, the money is available, not just to City but others as well, City can only have the same amount of players in the squad as any other team and even they may not be the best. How many players in all the leagues are available, bearing in mind, everyone has a price> City cannot monoplise that. Discussions are better centered around how squads fit together, this year we have seen Liverpool gelling together, Burnley the same Utd playing as strangers Arsenal falling away the mystery of Spurs squad not doing better all this is no money centered. I remember earlier Wenger saying he could not compete with City spend, maybe not, but does he have to and given the money would his choice of players work….it has not done so far Utd is a classic example, they have spent a significant amount of money, yet it has not worked out…so far…and from what my thought is with Jose it is always going to be difficult as he is already talking about a lot of his squad going which means more new players to fit in. As a fan, I thought it refreshing to see Bournemouth, Burnley and Huddersfield having a go this season the league needs this as much as the top 4 whoever they may be So, if any of you were Manager and could pick a squad of 25 how many from your current team? Keeping in mind you do not want prima donna’s but a team
