The thing that pleased me most was Bernadino performance, followed by Foden. I am sure Pep will nuture both these young players well, they certaily ran the show to day. KDB and Silva know they have competion now but then you would have to say why was Jorghino considered when we had an emerging Foden I am sure KDB and Silva will be back next week and that should raise our game to another level. Mahrez needs to be aware of KDB passes from distance Chelsea looked unsettled from the start, maybe the system has not clicked for them yet but they need some younger players in

Nine…I have been too long in the game watching City, nothing is certain, for any team. I think it will be a good season for a few clubs and maybe a surprise package again. Like I have said many times, I go to watch 22 players in a football match, of course I want City to win but I like to watch skillfull players and I hate divers and play acting that goes on. The rules need toughening up. Do not stop play, if it is a bad injury medics allowed on but we all know most of the time they want a breather or break up a pattern of play. It will kill the game unless action taken

Paxton…I think you are right about Levy, he has done a good job in trying to improve Spurs in all areas, Fans need to appreciate that takes a lot of planning and sometimes it will go wrong, I believe he over extended with the Stadium, however, he may yet be proved right Spurs continue to play football and I do admire them for that. I think you biggest danger is that the team, maybe young enough, but appears not growing together to sustain title challenge, again, I stand to be proven wrong That does need investment, you have no back ups for key players at this level

It will be an interesting game Nine. I think both teams will want to win, no point in a defensive game for a one off match, It could go either way. I hope Foden gets a run out I can see a future in this lad but the one really playing for a starting place is Sterling, I hope he has been practising finishing, that is all he is short of.Good luck for the season ahead

England entered the game and played as if was a testimonial match and under the impression they had to feed Kane, now Kane is good but not that good. England therefore had no other plan to score goals.A better effort in the second half but that is all it was, effort without quality or a game plan at the least Belgium have two world class players, we have none or do I stand corrected…where are they? Some promising players coming along but they will not be ready for 2/3/4 years. I am particulaly referring to the midfield depart and a player who can actuall hold a ball in play, change the tempo and direction. If anyone knows one please let me know

My final comment on England. The starkness of this defeat was that Croatia had a strong midfield and we did not.It was clear to see. Our plan was to go to route 1, where they were constantly beaten in the ariel battle and plan B was play it sideways and back to the keeper, even in the dieing minutes they were passing it back. When crosses did come in we rarely had more than two anywhere neat Croatia box, therefore always outnumbered In saying all that, we tried, just not good enough and Southgate did a good enough job so we can look to the future, he just did not have the quality available. For Euro’s Pickford, Trippier, Stones, Maguire Walker(?) Sterling, Ali (?) Lingard, Rashford(?)Kane would be retained in a squad. I hope we have strong talent coming through before then Loftus Cheek, Foden, and others but I have yet to see a Modric, Silva, KDB and a few others as creative players,I cannot see one anyhere in the league at the moment. Good luck to Croatia they deserve place in the final

I wanted Belgium to win, however France were the better side. I thought Hazard and KDB were not utilised properley to face france.KDB had too much ground to cover and Hazard stuck to the wing too much. Lukaka needed better service. Fellini, out of his depth, looses ball too much and no incisive passes for a midfielder. I like the French RB, Pavanne I can understand now how Mendy is not getting a game aslo, they have two good fullbacks, the CB not so convincing

Agree with you Hightown, Sterling did excellent work yesterday. For those that want to drop him and I believe Southgate knows this, they cannot match his constant running and upsetting defenders. This is a level too high for vardy, Rashford still does not fit properley, not his fault, he needs a settled position and game time. In real terms we have no real outstanding player in midfield, however, what we do have is a collective effort who work for each other…it is working , so far. I would still keep same team for next match

Maguire/Stones are forming a good duo, we still need a better LB than Jones, he kept a defensive shape but we needed somebody to attack the left side. Sterling and Lingard kept the Swedes busy all through the game, still think Ali is not match ready. Pickford was outstanding should give the lad a confidence boost

Corluka was at City before Spurs srd 79. Would have preferred to play Russia in semi, easier game. Croatia have Modric and that makes a difference, in saying that we are capable of winning now. I would love England v Belgium in the final

Fifa/Uefa looseing control of game, players do what they want now and mostly get away with it. A sharp lesson is required at all levels of the game and bring some sanity back. If they cannot manage it get the Rugby League in to sort it out. If a player goes down, do not stop game while they all have a rest and afternoon tea get the Medics to get them off the pitch. Why does the Ref have to see the offence on a monitor, they have paid professionals doing the watching they can tell him down his earpearce….let the game flow or we are in for longer and longer breaks for no good reason in most cases

I think Lingard plays by his temperament which is unpredictable, not so good for team games. Sterling is about lack of composure, he will always have and create panic in defences but he needs that bit more to make it pay. A good team player though. I think the difference between the two is the way Utd and City use them in Club football not translated at this level
