maverick and Nine….both your arguments cannot be equated. Lloris broke the law, nothing to do with football and the Courts will settle that, as it should be. Mourinho is trated badly by the media because they want him to be as he is…makes reporting easy but not responsible. None of them have looked for reasons why these things happen and nobody has a divine right to win titles be it Jose, Pep, Wenger, who found out later in his life and I suspect Poch and Klopp. cast your mind back a few years to managers who were up and coming and are now in obscurity You do not have to win the title to be a good manager, it is a target to achieve, nothing more. The only problem with that view is the “investors” want it. Once upon a time you went to a football match to enjoy 22 players trying to get a result. We are in a different era now and global football, as I predicted, is now entering its early stages. Managers, I suspect, will change teams because they will be franchised like players…its coming guys….I will not be participating

The media builds up a profile just to shoot it down. They go OTT time after time, Wenger, Conte and many others… It is not or should be earth shattering news, needs perspective. Pep will be in the fireing line soon enough but Mourinho has the pack chaseing him for now. They have no other topic to report on, why cannot they see good things at times? The same applies to publishing mind numbing odds to when a manager gets the sack. The media , in general are transfixed on bring bad news to the front, killing, stabbings, global warming etc etc…the reason I stopped buying papers although admit my wife still buys, except at weekend when she gets fed up with all the “ads” supplements etc so goes without. Less for the bin she claims!!!!

Mendy will find his feet but he does need somebody in front of him who can switch to being behind when he goes forward..so we need Sane or Sterling, the latter is the better on defensive duties but I think he will improve defensively as well..give him a little time, this is his first season really

I read the question and answer with Mouriho and the Media. I thought his response was excellent. The media are trying to run this game by headline news, if it is news, but not what I call responsible reporting. I am in no way a Mourinho fan but the guy is constantly hounded and maybe he does get some things wrong, but at this level of reporting??? When this is over, they will move on to the next target…what gets me is theses so called reporters have probably never kicked a ball in there life but there opinion, and that is all it is, reigns supreme. It is one mans opinion of a situation, if the story is newsworthy for them a few will jump on the bandwagon. let the guy do his job, if he fails then it is for the club to take action not the headline news

Adlab.. I would have had the same opinion as you reality check. As to our play, it just did not happen because our two quck thinking magicians could not find a way, Silva and Bernano. I also think Sterling, although he had a good game did not fit with the sysytem…or was it the system that was wrong. Walker and mendy kept too busy but Mendy did get decent crosses in but he needs somebody in front of him….like Sane Walker had bernado/Silva
A point was fair to both sides, not complaing, we will have a few more lie this I feel_____________________________

Well if Jose thinks we are classless he needs to watch MotD to night to see how classless we are, none more so than our “veterans” to day Kompany and Silva who rightly was awarded MotM. Wonderful to watch

maverick…I doubt you could call Pep a failure, look at his achievments, that is what counts and the opportunities are growing, you cannot class quanify future with a failure before it has even started, no “has to” about it. You coud say….maybe he will, maybe he wont” It is not possible to win everything in football, you can dream about it though CL is not the “b all of everything” in my view and it will be replace shortly by a global Cup for clubs, the CL will soon be a poor relative just like the Caraboo Cup or Europa. Just my view maverick

giblues, with respect..yes we will miss him. I like to think of it now as, we have him fit for the New Year and the run in to the Premier and hopefully some important Cup games, It is also important not to thrust too much responsibility on to Foden filling the shoes of KDB. I am sure Pep will manage him, it is an opportunity though for him to get some game time and I am sure he will take it, at the moment I believe he cannot do 90 minutes but by the end of december he can, then we have a player on our hands

City’s yardstick is last season, now it will be very hard to follow but I am sure they will give it a go. I think that Liverpool are under more pressure than City and I think they will react in a positive way but let us not forget there are a good few other teams who will fancy there chances as well An interesting season ahead

Not good news about KDB but I am sure Pep will have contingency plans and players that will do a good job. I would favour the two Siva’s in partnership with Foden as back up. Could be our Iniesta and Xavi??????? Most of all I want Kun to score to get his season going

What I fail to understand is that they have been planning this move a long time. I am sure with many many meetings, who is falling behind schedule and why. They say it is a safety issue, this should have been resolved in the planning stage noy at the last minute or is somebody trying to dodge an issue thinking it will all be glossed over. The Spurs fans need some kind of explanation, after all, they will be paying for extra travel and higher seat prices

I think the title will be won by team consistency and not who beats who on a certain day On that basis I hope City will show the same consistency week in and out, OK, we will not go unbeaten because I think there will be stronger teams now but unless they can produce that consistency instead of thinking if we beat City we have won the league it will not happen for them The question then is can City of last season raise there game to combat the new threats. An exciiting season is upon us guys

Jim, agree, best wishes to Joe, I do not care what anybody says, he is a good keeper, made some mistakes but is not short of ability and will become a very good one again. A model professional for City and I hope he does well at Burnley Good luck Joe

I think Butland is a good keeper, a mistake last week end but there is not a keeper playing to day that will not make a similar mistake so I would not hold it against him. Boateing, his time at City, was injury riddled and I do not think he really wanted to be in Manchester. Agree with what has been said, if he was still quality and injury free Bayern Munich would still have him in the squad, they would not let him go. I think he will stay in Germany somewhere
