Gungdoghan was another to face Cardiff cloggers. I was not happy with our defending or pass quality in the first 30 minutes and better teams would have punished us, however, we found our shooting boots, at last

Jim.. No I did not know or date them but they have been brought up well. I view this as a media topic because they cannot find anything constructive to right about I have no problem with other teams having a bigger following, City are always special to me whatever division I have been in big attendances and small ones, does not bother me. It is possible to take the view of a Utd Senior official who stated they are not reliant on the number of fans because of there business structure.
In my view then fans should not give attendance the priority it appears to take by the media_____________________________

PS to last…I also thing City’s Tunnel club does not help the atmosphere to ordinary fans to see a bunch of people paraded on the edge of the pitch, looking around as if they have just scored a goal and a “look at me” attitude. Do ordinary fans wish it was them? I doubt it..they need to get into the crowd with voice. I am not jealous of the fact just the question asked of fans to give better atmosphere…this does the reverse

The City result was always going to happen at some point, Correct what went wrong and move on.
As to empty City seats, there are probably a number of reasons for this but I can go back a long way, City have always had a good solid chore of supporters but in numbers have not been as big as other clubs, there are also reasons for that as well, however, I do not see any point to this latest theme for readership by the media, it is what it is. Like so many clubs the infiltration of Corporate and Hospitality membership dilutes the atmoshphere in my opinion. It all comes down to individual choice, City cannot be blamed or change that. You have to live with what you have but for fans or writers of other clubs they will eventually feel the same effect in the future. Nothing is certain anymore in football. Any succes to day….enjoy it…In the near future, Pep, Klopp, Mourinho will be gone…we can see that now…so enjoy the times now.My final point is that some fans simply cannot afford the number of games being played now and that is fact, it is not just the ticket price but travel and food as well. If you can afford it, good for you

Dr ian…like I was saying, mahrez is an experienced PL player, he needs to get into the game and not just to give short passes sideways and back…get forward lad.
Jesus is talented but I think he will not blossom in PL or with City, we need another Augerro. Lyon also took David Silva, Gungdogan, and Fernandinho out of the game. Fernandinho should be rested given the amount of work he has to do, put Foden in his place for at least 65 minutes. I will be pleased when KDB is back, I am sure our midfield miss him but we should be capable with the squad we have. Cardiff will be hurting as much as we are from last result so I do not expect an easy game but one of tough tackles and packed defence. Sane and Sterling on the wings please

Would be nice to see top 10 Agents wages now…..on the other hand, it would make me even more depressed looking at figures like this

Reading the City programme before the match, the opening pages was a letter from our owner. It was written with a great deal of humility and clearly put forward the desire to continue every aspect of Manchester City F C as well as social responsibility. It is also not just about City it is a way forward for any football club. I wonder how many owners could pen such a letter, well worth a read I know most clubs do not have the recources like he has but this is about what needs to be done and City have not reached “Everest” yet, he says City will make mistakes along the way but they will be worked through with the diligence that has given us the 10 years

Sean…best ever? hard to define for me because I can go a long way back, however, he is and has been my favourite player at City since he arrived. I have yet to see him have a bad game, a quiet one, here and there but never bad. I just love his ability to keep moving and finding space, rarely see him make a backwards pass but above all it is plain to see that he loves playing football. I agree, Bernado Silva, he is a carbon copy of David….just a few years younger and a bright future ahead of him

Mahrez, I questioned if we needed him but Pep thiks different , so I bow to his better judgement, He does need to start doing a little more, after all, he is not new to the Premier League. As to other questions posed, Delph had an outstanding game against Fulham but the player who continues to impress me is Bernado Silva, we do not need for a replacement of David Silva, we have one. I also like the way Gundogan upped the pace when we were slowing up a bit, game management, call it what you will but it is not a smart way Augerro going through an unlucky spell but he will hit the net soon enough Three should have been six though and improve GD Sterling…dont get me started!!!!!!

Chuky…never mind Euro League, although it maybe a forerunner to a Global league…that is what TV are after Fifa /UEFA will not have much say in the matter and if they press it clubs are already lining up for the bigger league TV rules

Re Sterling..in my mind he is NOT a striker but works hard for the team He should be scoring more, for City, because of there style of play but you cannot deny his work rate. I also prefer Pep’s judgement over any media “expert” if he was not good enough Pep would not select him or at least move him out. He is not doing either. Sterling totaly frustrates me when I watch him but he does not hide like others would do. As to running styles, well, that is how he plays, at a good level I remeber years back City had a player called Albert Emptage, now he had a funny run and a step over that was comical but effective. Each to his own. I do not think Englands style of play fits well for Sterling either

Nine..a rather clumsy statement to make Nine, why? because if injuries or suspensions are happening to his chosen ones , just who will he pick AND if he picks them, say Foden, how are they supposed to feel that they are last chance choice. Not the way to encourage Youngsters to play for you in your hour of need Mr Southgate.

As to the question of Foden, I trust Pep s handling of the lad. He knows he has a potentially wonderful player and I believe he will use him this season, it will be next season when we see the whole benifit, very similar to the way Stones has been handled. This mad rush to get him into the England squad now is only because we a midfield crisis on our hands, England, I do not want the City player being pushed in like Rashford and others players because we have no experienced head to guide us on the pitch. Rashford, for me is a talented lad but when I watch him he does not appear to know where he is supposed to be. I believe he should be in the middle, give Kane a rest but get somebody to play with him as well. The youngster of to day, like Foden will blossom next season and some of what we see now playing, will be history

That could be the problem Ed, we re building a gameplan aroung Kane, we need more fluidity than that, Just look at the midfield in our squad, none of them in my opinion are not good enough at this level, then we do have to wait for the next generation. Foden is a likely candidate but Pep will only play him when he thinks the time is right and that influences Southgate. Whichever way you look at it, three losses on the run now, I think and all because we have no control of midfield. Lingard is a worker nut far from this level, Rashford could yet develop, but it is an IF, Ali appears to be les interested now
Henderson,Dier, not good enough. I do not know where we can get a playmaker but if necessary I would look at the Championship to see if one popped up, I do not know_____________________________

We still do not have a decent playmaker, until we have one any progress will still be an illusion

I would put a case forward that they are all good managers, based on the comment, money is the deciding factor, we all know this is not the case, it did not apply to Leicester and others will pop up I think football will become more unpredictable, money or not. As a personal observation, if you look at the game 10/20 years ago and what we see now the teams at the lower end to day would have been at the top decades ago, Money was not the issue then as it is talked about, yes big transfers did take place but now the prices are a nonsense. Back to Managers, they work with what they have, some are good at it even if they do not have the recourses…that is what makes them a good manager. Those that have the money have to manage it differently, nobody is perfect and the PL does grind away at logic sometimes. Take the “experts” and media sensationalist out of it and allow them to do there job. I would even be in favour of no manager being replaced once the season has started. OK Jose…you are safe now!!!!!!!!!

Cityboy….City v Everton 1944 season. We lost 3-1. Everton had a great team out and played some wonderful football despite both teams being short of regulars due to the war which was still going on

Settle down guys…..wait until first 10 games are over and we should see some real strengths/weakness, no matter who they are. Judgements now, way too early

Although the football has changed the big difference is how the club is managed. New infra structure, training facilities, Academy, socoal houseing, College this is how the club has changed in stature I go to City ladies matches and that has also been good for the club. I am enjoying it all while I can because it is unlikely I will see the end of the next ten years..I am happy enough with City and the moans about minor issues do not bother me..life too short

Any one of 10 can win this plus a couple of outsiders. Cannot understand why or any other team nominated as favourite
