I cannot remember but it was a long time ago on TT. I enjoy the post and on occassions when it gets a little over excited contributors soon calm down. Forums are good as long as they do not get out of control, that is why I left TT and the editor became non existent to stop any nonsense.

Alfie, I am born and bred Mancunian, first and foremost. Although I want City to win our matches against you, I have suffered enough in the past, I want Utd to beat all the other contenders. My eldest daughter is an avid Utd fan, she has not spoken to me this last week, she takes it really serious and does not like Jose at all. I bought her a pair of City gloves for driving but she has not worn them yet!!! I must admit it was a bit cruel, still, life needs fun and I do not take football that serious at my time of life Have a good season, enjoy the game whoever it is.

Nine, quiet right, however aqusations are still being made and that needs to stop because there is no proof or evidence but we are now called liars as well. When the investigation is complete City will abide by the result unless an appeal is appropiate I think the topic is dead until then because it is all guesswork until then, some of it. OTT

Alfie….well that is your theory unless you have some exclusive knowledge of City accounts and procedures. Tou have stated…”it is impossible to value City/ Your theory goes on then to claim City are liars…where is your proof of that? The last thing you should be talking to us about is debt. It should be remembered that part of City’s spending has been on infrastructure as well. I think you are reading far too much into something you have no knowledge of, after all, HMTax, UEFA, FA are looking and have not come up with anything. To call City LIARS is unacceptable Alfie I thought you wwas better than that

Mikus, Re City not having a natural leader on the pitch….I did not mean that as a negative. Citys tactical plan allows for greater team involvement, all players have to take responsibility, however, I believe for certain games/competitions a good leader is needed. Kompany has been great but we need another like him or hope Stones or Laporte turn out to be the one

Nine…I eluded to this a long time ago…if UEFA want to start rattling cages they will come off worse. This is the Pot calling kettle syndrome again.They have so much to cover in there own organisation, why is Der Spiegel not spending time on that? Clubs will get fed up with there mismanagement and with TV companies probably think they can do better, I am not sure about that either but a new organisation is needed unless it changes it ways, FFP probably breaks a lot of EEC laws and they know it but employment rights will come into the picture from players to cleaners if they pursue this to the end. It will not put City,Chelsea or St Germain out of business, it will be an inconvenience and UEFA will gain a little cash to spend on themselves but these clubs will simply not go away and others will join them. As to Rules, yes there has to be rules but my guess these were wholly thought up by UEFA not by discussion with the clubs. Yes they were signed when probably no option was open to them but I also thing they saw enough holes in the agreement not to bother too much….until…..lets see what the outcome is. Like Brexit…it will take forever

Oz yob…I think Makaveli put it in perspective. When Liverpool beat City three times last season you always had the sense that City were trying and would learn from the experience, that is what I like about City now, they keep trying and yes, they will loose matches but they will attack until the 90 minute and there is amentality amongst the players, it is noticeable. I put that down to Pep. When you think of the players brought in, not the Messi/Ronaldo/Mpbabbe/Neymar etc but players under the radar like Bernadinho, Laporte, Sane and Jesus you could add a few more. Yes , we paid good money for them but they have been bargains and fit the City profile. Pep has stated that he will not sign anybody that does not fit what he is doing. Liverpool put in a super effort to do it and it is going to take that effort to do it again or City will triumph again

It was not that long ago when Utd, Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal dominated the league, they were untouchable but few moaned about it, they just got on with supporting there team. All appears to have changed now and some think there is a historic right to be winning again. As far as I am concerned there are 6 teams in contention for the title, a few point difference, City are not running away with it but keeping pace with the others. City will only concentrate on there own game and hopefully win matches, others should do the same. Of course Liverpool and others can win it, I do not understand why everybody is so defeastest. You should not be waiting for City to loose but make sure you win, that is what puts pressure on City. Utds performance on Sunday typfies a deafest mentality before they started, despite Joses excuses.
He is on about Pogba missing but we had KDb missing a far better player than Pogba. Liverpool shown last season that they had a desire to beat us but did not maintain the level. What is true, more than ever before is, it is a squad game, and whoever comes in must fit the tactical plan or they do not get in the squad or the team no matter who…that is Peps thinking So guys, a little more optimism and a smile. A long way to go yet_____________________________

Too many pessamist, the season is still in the early stages, City will loose at some point and it will get harder the longer the season goes on. As a City fan, I certainly think any one of four can win it, We are playing good attractive football with a good squad of players and a good tactical manager, but hey guys, this is football and surprises do happen. A two point lead can be lost next game, Pep knows that but will still go out to win the next game. That is what I like about his style

Are there any “independant organisations” if this is picked by UEFA, who no doubt pick up all the charges before passing them on with profit, just how independant are they???
If City are guilty then charges must be made but some clarity is needed on who is investigating who and who is picking up the bill. A tangled web_____________________________

I think the difference to day was City play as a team, including the subs, it is also noticeable, we have no natural leader in the absence of Kompany, so everybody takes on responsibilities. I am sure Pep and his staff will be saying to Ederson a few choice words and he has to eliminate pointless penalty giving like the last two games, which were identical, apart from that, he is doing a great job. Utd appear to be a team with ageing defence, creative players on the bench and young forwards playing with no plan. The players are capable of doing better, the question is can the Manager and his team do better. But at this stage Utd do need a leader, I do not see one

Ed, then again, even if he did say “no penalty” to the Ref I still think that Ref would have ignored it. I also think his image is undeserved but he is an obvious target

The penalty decision was wrong, worst I have ever witnessed. I would have liked Sterling to have said to the Ref, it was not, but in this modern game, it is not done for most of time. I certainly do not blame Sterling for anything, he did not dive, he did not appeal but as we City fans have witnessed many times, he does fall over his feet a lot, even with nobody near but he is one of most exciting young players in the PL, that cannot be denied, he has an awsome work ethic, misses more than he scores, so frustrating but I think his game is changing for the better. He needs to forget about this incident and carry on with the good work

Chuky, you are absolutely right, football is now secondary to the management of football. Are or were the Rules set up in the first place correct anyway? As stated previously the game needs a complete overall but nobody is likely to take that challenge up unless media, sponsors do and that to me is a death knell. What happens now will have repercussions not matter how the verdict falls. Its a bit like Brexit..all talk…nobody has the good of the game at heart only self interest.Corrupt organisations will cover there backsides. As to the Book keeping at clubs, there are rules, accounts have to be signed off by somebody and HMTax will be involved at that point, so why all the startling comment by der Spigel that the Tax man ia now after City? Any common sense Tax officer will look at a club like City and others as a matter of due course….unless they are now suggesting HMTax are involved in a fraud!!!!! It is all getting weired, lets stick to football on the pitch, as fans, we can do nothing to sort out financial affairs. For me , it is a case of be careful of what you wish for, following the accounts creed…the devil is in the detail
