I still believe it is too early to make firm prediction. City are looking a little “leggy” at the moment but the squad strength has got them through. The one thing City have is Augerro, who , for whatever reason appears to be enjoyng playing again more than I have seen previously, although he is always dangerous on “off days” as well The other maybe Sterling who I have often moaned about but he is matureing fast. I do not think there is much wrong with the Liverpool squad, probably like City, getting a bit “leggy” therefore predictable but still good enough to get something from the match.
It will be close that is for sure and even a couple of defeats would not guarantee any of them being out of the race. To be sure, “pool” need 10 wins out of 10 if not we will pick up on it. It has been a good contest so far_____________________________

I had to listen to the match on Radio 5 live last night, well I said listen to the match but these incompetent commentators on this programme decided to talk about the penalties and there interpretation of the game. That took up a sizeable part of Radio time. The game was going on and was secondary to what was happening. Radio 5 is useless and I hope GMR is back for the Final on Sunday.
As to the match, First, Otomendi was very harsh but these things are given and the farce with VAR was truly stupid. The second, penalty, although I have seen plenty not given in similar circumstances. Once again, lack of consistency_____________________________

Chuky, it has been happening for some time now, an easy excuse for laziness or not enough brain power to work out where the ball will go. I suppose in fairness to some, they put there hand up by way of an apology….that annoys me as well….get on with the game and do better next time the ball coes your way

Nine….not for me….I think City will give it a good go but 4 titles is beyond them in my opinion. They will get caught in the fixtures narrowing and relentless progress. We have an excellent squad but this is a media generated hype I do not fall for.I think if we get two we have done well and I would prefer the EPL and FA Cup to anything else…..I know,…I know…it is supposedly what players want etc, etc but they have to ask themselves are they good enough to win it? Proove me wrong City

NB…maybe you are right but it is a topic varied from City, Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc etc topics. I like to hear about what fans think outside there own team. I still cannot understnd the case for standing at football matches

NB there has to be rules or chaos and anarchy would be the order of the day.
Our MP’s work under a seperate set of rules though!!!!_____________________________

PS to last…..it is not for an individual to decide what nationality best suits him, birthright is not a negotiable thing….but maybe it is in sport

I respect all your views but here begins the problem…too many options and variations on what is possible. It is more easy to abuse the rule than adhere to it.Recently in Rugby the french coach said he would not pick anybody who was not French, I guess he means French born. This is another take on the subject but I do see it getting rather silly and switching nations will be a convenience rather than a country factor

PS I have just thought of one option the player could take…..give up his British Passport and take another country.

Rules should be clear and simple. Born in the country…no other options
If your parents are in Moscow they must have a good job…fly back and have his birth registerd in UK.. Of course there will be other exceptions but I still would opt for the “no option rule”_____________________________

Mikus, thanks for the info, yes I did know, I have also read Trautmans book, this probably inspired the film, it should be a good story if the film makers do not make a hash of it. Yes , he did break his neck in that Final. I guess in City’s history we have had , mostly, good keepers. I do not like compareing players and I can only go on what I see as plusses and minus, For me Trautmann was more athletic, brave and a supberb keeper. Swift was more a showman BUT he had ability beyond most in his era and I have yet to see a keeper to match him, keeping in mind the heavy leather balls and ground conditions he played under. He was throwing the heavy ball out to Maurice Dunkerley on the centre line long before to days fashion and he was accurate. He also made you laugh at some of his antics, the crowd loved him
The penalty area was truly his domain_____________________________

Sean…they are both up there with frank Swift and Colin Bell for me.
They are both City through and through none of this knocking on the managers door etc etc_____________________________

Another season will go by, Augerro still breaking records after all these years and never gets near the awards, must feel like no matter what he does somebody does not rate him. His performance to day was excellent again and I consider myself fortunate enough to see most of his goals (at the Etihad) in the time he has been with us.He missed the tap in but made up for it

I was at the match to day, Chelsea tried but were simply no match to City all over the pitch. Fernandiho just managed Kante and Jorghinho on his own. Augerro they were scared witless of, same for Sterling and that other Silva just made a nuiscance of himself. Chelsea have good player and have a style but nobody knits them together. Higuian cannot run

New Balance…..I think too much is being placed on Gomez injury. He is an up and coming star and young…all good but fans have to reliaze this is a team/squad game and either bench or tactical decisions should be applied.
City did not apply themselves correctly for 4 games and paid the price, I hope they have learned the lesson and we are all in for an exciting finale to the season, whoever wins, deserve it_____________________________

I have given up worrying about City’s defenders, not that it is as bad as most make out and will hopefully get better when Mendy is fit, at the moment , that is a big IF, so Pep will look to cover this

Augerro continues to consistently score goals, season after season, I think that is his 13th hat trick in Premier as well. I hope we have him for one more season after this.

Good win for Spurs, now we are in for a proper scrap. In my view, Son has been one of the most underated players in the Premier. If Spurs keep winning, injuries to there squad do not matter…you cannot do more than win your game.
