That is two favours then, Utd and Spurs.!!!!! Concentrate on winning your matches and less on what others can or cannot do. One game at a time

Mak…I think you have just described the difference between a Liverpool fan and a City one. If City were playing cardiff in your situation we would be thinking cardiff can outplay us to day, Liverpool fan will think they will loose by some controversial decision.
We have had years of pain and well versed in a cautionery mood despite our attacking talent. Liverpool have had years of success and the expectancy has to be higher. Forget the opposition, lets just enjoy the run in, no game will be easy for any team, Cardiff could well be down by the time you play them, not sure if they have a mid week game but I am sure they will give it a go._____________________________

However,, it could be Liverpool will drop points as much as City so it all adds up to an exciting finish from two teams that have brought some life into the EPL. A lot of it has been dire this season. I hope next season we will see more than two teams fighting it out

Well, I guess it was trying to explain cricket, I could not get past the laughing at Silly point, Long leg etc, etc They did wince when I explained about a ball fizzing off a wicket at an angle and going at speed
I still have my old Tourney irons at the back of the garage, somewhere!!!!! I only had a few putters, usually stayed with one, Ping, and my back up was a Bob Toski which came with the Tourney set.. I also have < Boxed< never used a QE2 Putter made from one of its propellors, plus a full set of irons, boxed, never usedWould have loved to have played Augusta, may have taken me a week though!!!!

I cannot think of ONE team that does not have problem fans. How it is dealt with is what matters

Nine…I did my back twice, slipped disc, the Doctor said “no more golf” 2 months later I asked my Club Pro if he could help, I was not ready to give up yet, He asked me about the pain and where it affected me most, then said, why do you not try playing right handed, I was a left handed golfer of course,. He took me out for a few holes and I was surprised I could actually hit the ball, I graduaated to a half set of right and a half set of left clubs for a time before switching completely to right
My driving became better right handed but I never could get the short game to same standard and relied on my putter to get me out of trouble. I also worked for the Company that owned McGregor golf, I was not interested in golf at the time, and they had Nicklause, Miller, Weiskopp and others on the staff at the time, eventually they sold the Company to Nicklaus… I do have some good experiences and memory’s of the time though, particularly trying to get American golfers to understand cricket_____________________________

Wonderful event and location to start the season, Pick any out of 40 or so. I will be trying to stay awake and watch as much as possible. My golfing days ended about 10 yrs ago, I do miss playing competitions, I was never any good but lets say enthusiastic

I stated previously that City were beginning to get a bit leggy and when that happens concentration dips, hence the Spurs goal. I thought it was a strange team Pep put out, City certainly lacked KDB and Bernado..a wake up for the week end All is not lost, get Sane and Sterling on the wings, bring KDB and Bernado back and will Mendy be able to put 90 minutes in?

ED…we will not get the quad…the squad is getting very ground down and it shows, I will be happy with what we have achieved this season already

Well, I got the Mendy bit wrong, really surprised to see him start a game like this after being out so long. I was right about Walker though…error-prone, could have got sent off and would have cost us the game. We did what we have to I suppose but we cannot afford to play like that again. Fernandinho made a difference when he came on and we need him and KDB at there best on Tuesday It will be an interesting team selection on Tuesday, hope Augerro is back

Mak….no…I am not uncomfortable…if you win then you deserve it but it is still an “if”
I have said from the start I think the quad is out of reach, if we loose the semi though to day, that will be a game less and should give us an incentive to go for PL which I think is more realistic than CL this season. Our problem is still at full back and wise teams know this, Walker is error prone, great going forward though and we have no established left back. Mendy is a right off, lucky if we see him play this season, think Pep will replace him next season, if Zinchenov gets fit he can do a job but looks like he is out for a few games. Try a youngster, maybe, we have some promising ones or more than likely play Danilo there and ask Sane to do some backing up, he is quick enough. It will be a good finish, I have a feeling it will go all the way but there is always a surprise around the corner_____________________________

Hightown…no winners in this….I also remember being in croeds of 82000 at Maine Rd, prooves nothing only that Cit attendances went down. I believe, City , as a club has 40K loyal supporters and 15K fair weather fans. It has been like that as longas I cam remember. I even questioned the wisdom of building a third tier, however, any good business man will look to the future. The second third tier is a long way off in my opinion. What does this say? City do have a good set of fans, never as boisterous as some but we can only sit and admire what is being served up to day, the last few seasons have been a joy to watch.
Also, City are just returning about 2000 tickets for the Semi, they have sold 25K, these are the higher priced ones £120+ City have 3 games in London now, Saturday we K.O at 17.30 , last train from Euston 21.24…good planning by FA and TV and again expense plus the Spurs and crystal palace within days of each other. It was a Utd Official, not sure which one, who stated they would still be profitable without fans. Indicating, they do not need them, financialy. Makes a mockery of how the game has changed I would not go that far but the expense of watching football now is forever increasing. If you take say £40 for a seat, say £10 travelling and £10 on food/drink £60 a game…that is a lot of money out of a family budget, some can afford it obviously and twice a week. I am a fortunate one I have a Seasoncard and is affordable to me but I am makeing a case for the thousands who find it hard supporting there team. I do not see the prices coming down and by default I think attendances will also drop at any ground, football will no longer be value for money_____________________________

Tough week ahead for City but we should see some good games. Spurs at the new ground after the Semi should be a cracker

Hightown, it is noteams respond to it, new, sometimes it happens, then again, we cannot be good at everything!!!!!!! Generated atmosphere is good, mostly for the fans and teams do respond, not always in a positive way, neither is it unique to City, As to attendance, not since the late 40’s have we had a consistent high level of support like some teams but it will be interesting to see what the season average was between City and Liverpool .
Being realistic as well, it is expensive now due to all the games City play, those that can afford it, good luck to them but I have other uses for my money, as much as I follow City that has a higher priority than football and I suspect that is true of many._____________________________

NB..you are right…City fans have long thought that Bernado Silva will take over from David Silva in due course, he is some player, well both are. a joy to watch. They have been City’s Xavi and Innesta and model Pro’s. As to the remaining matches, like I have said before, I think City have a mental strength to get them through next seven league games but I am still not saying they will be unbeatable but they will be putting in a full shift, win or loose. Cardiff will be tough and it will depend on how good a start we make….again, Cardiff like other teams capable of defending and breaking away to score, it is a matter how long they defend for. I expect City will make 3/4 changes for this game, some will get half a game. I expect Sane,Jesus,Stones and possibly Kompany to play and hope we see something of Foden
