maverick.. I think you are getting confused between thousands, millions and billions. No matter the amount, every transfer is a risk no matter one thousand, one million or one billion which I do not know a club which has reached that yet
From where City were 10 years ago to what has happened since required money, now you may not like that but all clubs have the same situation…it then becomes a matter of scale. SO, IF your owners decided to put huge amounts on investment in to your club I assume it would be OK with you? City got lucky, other teams will get lucky because big investments are on the way..it could be your lucky day
Some have issues as to where the money comes from Russia, Saudi, China USA…notice…no British investor….take the football out of the equation and talk where Investors are likely to go…like it or not…that is football of the future…….nothing to do with running a football club

srd79 Pep came into a team that had won the EPL, his job was to take us to the next stage and for most part he is doing that, then again, you cannot have everything in life you wish for

For the record. Klopp is a very good Manager, has found a home in the UK and I think his style suits British football and is good for the game

I do not understand why Arsenal are taking so long, after all, they must have known week s before the last guy left up to now. Does not say much about there final choice when they make it as being there prime candidate. maybe I have this wrong and it was the plan all along

My biggest moan is kick off times later than 15.00 hrs especially in the winter months. I started watching the ladies game until somebody started banging a Big Drum, as Pagan mentioned earlier..very annoying. Why do they not go and join a band?

I think the big loser here could be Arteta, the job at Arsenal is massive, he has to change players and culture….will he be given time and resources to do that. Plus, what he has to weigh up, given what is in front of him at Arsenal and he fails for whatever reason he will have surely jumped out of the frying pan. I sincerely hope he makes the right decision for himself, not for City, not for Arsenal. No grantees in life but this is a big decision…for Arsenal also,, if they get it wrong…again

442…that is the word…patience. Like with City at the moment, we have had a very good run of success, time has arrived for a fresh injection into the squad but this could be youngsters but they have to be brought in carefully. I have seen too many promising youngster ruined by expectations being too high. I know Chelsea have had a problem with the transfer embargo but there talented youngsters are being overplayed at the moment. The EPL is not possible for you this season so I would develop a style that they are comfortable with to give them confidence, win or loose..they have to give there best shot and the players understand what there responsibilities are, young or old. That being so, I believe Chelsea will be serious contenders next season with Frank Lampard in charge as well This season, they have to work out what is best for them

Sean…he is being managed, next season onwards will his time, in the meantime he learns from good players around him and at his very young age that can only be good for him. Other teams have talented youngsters but what I have also noted they are thrust into the limelight far too soon and they then struggle with future development. We have not been short of players in the midfield area either
Foden will be a star at City, but will be brought up the right way as will Garcia and others breaking through

Chelsea do have an advantage in having some talented youngsters, but that is what they are talented but inexperienced and just maybe thrust a little to forward too soon. Frank Lampard should be given time to settle, more defeats will follow but as long as you learn from the defeats that helps in the future. There is no instant success in football, all has to be worked for and I think Chelsea will be the team to do well next season, you need the building blocks. It happens to all teams it is only a case of how you go about it then

Nil….keep to the sensible approach, you cannot go wrong.Everyone has choices, some do not save and prefer to spend, mostly what they cannot afford, and others save for retirement or rainy day or whatever they want to save for. I wonder how many children actually save any of there pocket money now, My mother always told me pennies makes pounds. I am not a millionaire or rich but have enough to pay my bills which are forever increasing but my pension does not keep up if you take all the indirect taxes now forced on us like hospital car parking fees, bus lane charges for an empty stretch of road etc etc.At 85 years I know things are unlikely to get better because if somebody found a way to charge you for breathing, they would that is the culture to day

Nil…when they said they ncould get there hands on cheap money to pay for all the promises….this is where it comes from…our pension pots and savings All governments from the year dot, asked for us to save and build a pension fund…..this saves them a job then decides….oh, this is nice to borrow from or Tax…we are caught either way. I liked the old labour but this lot are depressing, they have no style, culture or common sense and there values belong to another regime That finishes me on this subject

Nil, I think Boris will do a good job. I have noticed a change in him over the last couple of months he has lost some of the buffoonery and I think he will concentrate on the job in hand more. We shall see. I am just pleased we are not living under a Communist regime
