Steve/Sean than you for the kind remarks. All I want to do is bring some perspective and pragmatism to the discussions.
City have been very fortunate in having the current owners, they could have easily gone for other teams but they saw a better way of fulfilling there “project” with City. Yes they are more than wealthy but so to are other owners, the difference is where you put the money to use. This can be done wisely or not and nobody will be perfect. The fact is we are coming to the end of the initial project and I would say we have not done badly. Where fans let themselves down is the blinkered approach to everything to do with there club. I can understand the passion/depression of fans but it is not in a healthy state at the moment with poor fan re actions, racism and bad language which I personally deplore when there are children around. I cannot see a way of improving this at the moment other than ejection from the ground. My ideal of “mixed” fans again is still far away, I used to enjoy talking to visiting fans. I just wish fans would watch 22 players and appreciate all of them. My simplistic view is to be a Champion you have to have the Brighton, Southampton Newcastle Arsenal etc etc and dare I say it even the Liverpool, City and utds This year will be Liverpool, next year…who knows?

Mak..I suffered the same fate as you being unemployed, 4 kids to bring up and could not get any social help for 6 weeks (“they” said) It does cause stress and I hope you find a way through, you have good moral on the forum apart from the oddity. Adlab…no….GLOBAL CUP that is what TV want and that is what they will get. European football now as an entity does not exist anymore in the grand scheme of things….it is a Mickey Mouse world now

Mav. If Liverpool win it, they deserve it and I honestly think nobody will catch them, they have points to spare but I am sure Mr Klopp will go for the maximum, he has done a good job

As to spreading it about, I would prefer teams like Southampton, Newcastle and a few more are seriously challenging but the reality is I doubt we will see much change. I would not mind seeing Bayern, barca and a few more being embedded in the PL for a couple of seasons to freshen it up but that will not happen either
NB…do not suggest Celtic/Rangers…we do not want that to happen either unless they start in League 3/4

Like I have said many times, I just want to watch one game at a time now, cannot be bothered about Fulham following week and Utd it will happen soon enough and no matter what we will have no influence over the result

Nav…there is no denying that our defence is not the best, saying that, we have conceded 25 goals, I think Palace who we play this week end have a better defence, however, what matters is the goals we score not like the “goals we should have scored” I do not look further than the next game, pointless, I am sure Utd will improve next season with a new Manager and a few new players but so will other clubs and Liverpool have hit a template which could go further but then comes the big questions…who will loose form, who will have injuries who will be transferred….really…it is not worth thinking about…just go to the next game and enjoy it, no matter who. Rashford is your jewel, I think Pogba has his bags packed already and do not think he will be that much of a loss to Utd from the history we have seen to date. I also believe City will loose 1/2 more games or at least draw them and the CL is still a step too far, next season I believe they can win it, for me , it is not that important because in a couple of years it will be replaced and another new era will start

maverick…Utd played well on the counter but it was hardly “tearing us apart” 6-1 is what I call tearing you apart or at a push 3-1 in your back yard. Counter productive this. Utd won the match, City returned in style Pogba your best player???? Somebody who clearly does not want to play for you and has not done that much in PL..How many stand out matches has he had? I will take KDB any day of the week Your best player is Rashford but he is playing in the wrong team and carrying Utd I know…a bit harsh but players out, for either side is no excuse with the squads available or are you saying Utd squad is not good enough. The City squad is strong but reasonably balanced, self inflicted mistakes have costs us. Laporte will help when match fit, Sane will only have a cameo role, he will be off in the summer unless the German club change there mind, which I doubt. Pep knows the players he wants and who will be leaving….now

Steve…..I think there are many real cases like this, it destroys family life and when it goes out of control as frequently happens only despair is left, As I mentioned before the betting Companies need to control not only the punters but the occasion as well…that is how they make so much money

You can compare teams from different era’s from a personal point of view but it is unrealistic to say who is best. The circumstances, level of the game, up or down make it inprobable. We all have a tendency to think from hindsight and logically, there is not an answer, only an opinion amongst a few thousand others. For the same reason I have never liked comparing players. A test for anyone would be to name a team of players, from any club, would they win everything in sight? I doubt it. As to the “best” it does not matter if a team wins by one, ten or twenty points…they are the “best” There cannot be no argument about this. The “best” is always in No1 position

Kun Augerro…what can you say about this guy 11 consistent years of scoring in th PL You can keep your Kane, Sallah, Mane etc etc Augerro is better than them all. Most hat tricks most goals now for overseas player and chasing down Lampard and Rooney above all…a very loyal club player time has proved it He will be overlooked for awards yet again.

many years ago, when football was all important to me, I looked around me, in my family I saw illness, death and my son fighting in Serbia/Afghan I took hold of my perspective. City are a great love of mine but that is all they are. At this moment when you think of your team should be doing this or that just think of the people in hospital etc and those needing real help. I do not want people to feel bad but just put things into perspective in there minds….it works

I think Utd will stay with Ole until the end of the season. There is no likely successor around…..Pelligrini, Alladyce, who????? Utd did improve in the second half but improve on what? It would be hard not to improve on the first half. It appeared to me they just hoped for breakaway goals, where is the real Utd. Walker stated City were saving there legs, if I was Pep I would be annoyed about that because if anybody wanted a rest there were capable subs on the bench that would have driven us on not rested legs. Fernandinho was outstanding and for his age he was simply amazing. Sterling needs a rest for a couple of games. Pleased that Bernado has found his mojo again, although he has not been playing badly, now , he is back to his best. Still not convinced about Mendy but he has improved a little.
