Mak…one thing for sure…I would take a back seat like you if I did not enjoy what was being served, In saying that I have watched some dire City teams but just that odd spark there was something there. Nowadays, say last 10 years everything has changed for the better. I feel sorry for any Utd Manager having to serve under the management and philosophy they have on how to build a team. I also feel sorry for the talented youngsters they have, they are in a situation that will not help them develop, too much responsibility for them and the experienced players they have look less interested or not good enough Funny game football

Adlab…my opinion is that we had a squad that should not have lost 5 matches. Our losses, mostly self inflicted through lack of concentration and this is what we missed most a figure at the back marshalling the defence. Despite this, we should have done better this season, Pep knows it and has been let down by a few players not performing and when expected. I do not feel despondent though because next season will see an improvement all round and I am not really disappointed in the way we have played in most matches. I do not think we are good enough for CL this season so that leaves the two domestic cups

Pep is said to be thinking of making Ederson the Prime penalty taker…..Give it a go Pep, I bet he does not miss many Does not say much for our strikers though. In my opinion no player should miss from 12 yards

I would agree with most, the basic headline says it all “Too much football” Two legged semi finals are a nonsense, Replays are a nonsense in the modern time table and Players do need a recovery time. They should be fit enough to play two games a week but not every week. The football associations, all of them, are too greedy for more money and allowed themselves to be managed by TV and sponsors money, worst of all Betting companies. They do not pay enough attention to players health or the supporting fans on match days. They make millions but never lower the prices or support lower league teams the system needs a shake up

Nine, yes he is class, I thought it was a high risk bringing him in for this particular game and after 15 min I feared the worst but it has paid off providing he has no re action, The other plus was having the confidence to put garcia in against a very physical team, he did well…again We have one of the CBs we are looking for now and the other is not far away

Mikus, you cannot buy experience at 18, you buy potential There will always be a risk at buying young players, that is what concerns me when you see, mostly from Europe< the next Pele, Pirlo, Ronaldo etc etc hype to get the price up and once one of the bigger teams bite..up goes the price again since the seller/agent will have created a market. Augerro was one of the best buys we ever made

City had to mix it to night, away from there style and I thought we did well. It is not the easiest place to com and SU are a good strong team. This does not change anything in my view other than it gives us 3 its and I would like to go on a run again, they are all tough games ahead. Pleased Laporte got 70 mins in and did well plus Garcia getting valuable game time as well. I see these two as a good partnership next season Sterling and Jesus disappointing to night and what can you say about that man Augerro. KDB our MotM

Well I hope you are right Mikus I see the City problem another way, although you cannot say we played badly even in the games we lost but we did not put away the many chances we created, despite our scoring record, we should have had at least 20 more goals and some of the losses turned to wins. Overall, I am not despondent about City this season, they always go out and try to play attractive football, but we all know, that does not win all the games. I think Pep adapts to games well but by his own admittance “is still learning” this from a leading coach shows how hard it is in the EPL
I note that Italian guy is having a go at City again claiming he has seen evidence of mismanagement, this has been going on for years…where is this evidence? Also, Italian football, like Spanish football have been subsided for years and covered up and both countries had the cash to spend when others did not There is a serious sour grape attitude against the EPL from Europe_____________________________

Chuky, as you say, full fixture list. Madness these mid winter evening games. I would like them all played 12 noon on a Saturday or Sunday but that will never happen. As to the game, well you have Norwich at home…you are the moneybags for that game….it is all relative!!!! Arsenal v Chelsea it will either be 0-0 or 4-4!!!!! Enjoy the game

Sheffield Utd have one of the toughest defences in the country so it will be interesting to watch the attack v defence again but we need to start putting more chances created away I think Walker will be back to morrow,I hope he does not play the same trio again of Bernardo, Gundogan and Silva..it does not work unless all three are on top of the game

Mak…that was a good assessment re Sterling but you said what I was thinking why he will move. The asset on the books is only good for a time, if City feel they need to move him , they will Sterling is a good player and young and british which helps us in other ways but he is not an Augerro, he is not a Silva, Pep likes “thinking” players Sterling biggest asset is his speed not speed of thinking
I am not on a crusade to sell him but just stating the players I think will move for various reason. As for John Stones, it is true that he plays better with a strong partner e.g. Kompany, Laporte but we cannot have a player who is dependent on such support in the time of need, like , since Laportes injury. He should have “upped” his game and has also become injury prone. I think he will be allowed to leave, we have two youngsters breaking through I would rather see given a chance
Threes…I do not think they will go for Sancho again
Moos, we could always sign Jones from Utd!!!! he would be paying us though!!!!!
I have great confidence in our youngsters making the grade as CBs I think we will see big changes at City for next season_____________________________

threes…as a PS al “best ” players have a trade in value. The trick is sell when when price can me maximised unless there is a clear indication as with Silva, Augerro and Fernandinho that they want to stay a long time. We have been fortunate there, I hope same will apply to KDB, Laporte and Rhodri.

threes…I only say that about Sterling because I think he will move on and probably into Europe…time done at City now at the end of season and he knows we are looking for replacements in a number of areas for those departing and bring some freshness in. I will be surprised if he is with us next season, just a personal opinion

My exit list for City. Not in any order Otamendi, Stones, Walker,Angeleno, Sterling,Mendy
I would like to see more of Foden, Garcia, and a couple of more Academy players
We need to buy two commanding players, mostly to organise defence, I think Rodri will be capable of doing this next season, as will Laporte
pep will continue with an attacking team rather than just a counter attack team but this has its risk, as we know_____________________________

Poor decision making by City defence to day, other than that, Palace had there plan to defend which they did very well. I thought it was a mistake playing Silva, Bernado and Gundogan , really good players, but together I am not so sure. I hope Pep tells Mendy that he is allowed to move forward!!!!! Stones started well enough but did not keep it going Ederson nearly conceded a self inflicted goal again…if these mistakes had been Bravo, all City fans would be in a rage Ederson is young and he is good but he needs to learn when to come and when to stay. Overall, I would say we tried, played some good football but did not win a game we should have. On to next match. I see Laporte, Garcia and another as the CBs next season

back in my memory box Newcastle had some great players, Robledo was one,City also signed George Hannah, who was like Silva is to day, then there was Middlesborough with Wilf Manion Sunderland with Shackleton Broadis (who we signed as well) Hull City had Raich Carter Utd had Jack Rowley a goal scoring machine fed by Charly Mitten and Eric Delaney Peter Doherty shone for City until he moved to Derby
Goalkeepers, there were so many good ones, after Swift, I would say Gil Merrick of Birmingham Geo Tweedy Grimsby Ted Sagar Everton Sam Bartram Charlton and Vic Woodley of Chelsea I think most of them did not win the league though Goalkeepers were iron men then subjected to charging , a very heavy ball covered in mud usually
CBs Billy Wright/Stan Cullis Wolves , Neil Franklin Stoke, T.G Jones Everton were the stand outs

442,,yes teams have found a way to play against us but the thing about Pep is he does learn and admits that and with fresh players and similar tactics we will be OK
Tugay,,,he has a point but I have to say that I would not want to go back to the old style of play and I am talking 40/50s mostly. Yes the atmosphere was 100% better than it is too day , be it big crowd or not. pressure is only what fans make of it, players may have pressure but different. I could best sum it up by saying, in the old days when you went 2-0 up teams rarely came back at you, nowadays even a 3-0 lead may not be comfortable if the other team score one. The shorelines then were mostly predictable. I do miss the fan atmosphere the most_____________________________

Mak….I think Pep, like many others just gets frustrated with the British Press, masters of the invented story lines. His recent statement tells us he is happy to see his contract out, after that, he has no problems in staying IF the position offered to him and the players he has will work and understand his type of play. he is unique but nobody is irreplaceable I would hate to see him go this side of 4 years though. If you look at it from outside the box , so to speak the media agitate against Managers/players more than the fans do and most of the fans get it wrong because they never know all the facts, just what is fed to them. I rate Mr Klopp highly but just wait a little longer and they will find something to get there teeth into. Not every team can win the league/Cup so there target is obviously those that do not make it.
