Sean…have always thought Pep would see out his contract. At the end he will have a few choices, maybe go into International Management but then again, at City he has what he wants in terms of Management and funding will be available when required.Realisticaly, he will move and we will have a replacement ready by Christmas He may surprise us all and stay!!!!

Agree with you both about Foster, he has been a good keeper for a long time now.
Pickford I never rated, good at times but not enough to be a top class keeper
Yes Allison and Emerson are a new breed and they are playing well but they need another few seasons in them to be great Chuky, you are right, reminds me of the Arsenal cock up against City a few seasons ago….too clever for there own good, they will miss eventually I guess I was drawing more on my memory bank when keepers were not protected, they have a big advantage over outfield players but they rely on the “foul” more now but I do believe some of them are brave but we will not see the likes of the oldies again I could tell you a good story about one of your own great players, Willie Hall and his encounter with Frank Swift in a memorable game we always have with Spurs. Few games are more attractive to watch than City and Spurs, whatever the result always a good match, can never remember a goalless one

A winter break is sensible, injuries will always happen usually when it is not a good time but as Pep says “it is what it is” you have to get on with it. I wonder if it would be a good idea when a nominated, say 2 week spell, whereby clubs have to play at least 2 Academy players in the team would serve any useful purpose. Pep always take the long view in blooding players and is reasoning is sound but City do have the luxury now of a good structure other clubs do not have
In theory this should help us but this is football we are talking about, nothing is for certain

I watched the Brighton v Watford game on MotD, it looked entertaing for such a critical match and made me think that the level of these two teams against say a top team of 1980/90 team is wide imo, although, I had previously said you cannot really compare different era’s I still stick with that, The game is faster now for sure but it has its downside as well as plusses, Just daydreaming when watching this match

Game off to day, I could not have gone anyway due to ill health I put my ticket on the City Exchange as previous….so….I just wonder now, when the match is re arranged who gets priority the seas-card holder or the ticket buyer?? Just wondering, guess I will have to ask City about that

Mak…the reason is, I think, a season is just that, a season and other teams are competing for say a top 4 or relegation it is all wrapped up in a “season” Liverpool will win it before the season ends but so have many other teams but the tradition and rules are you play the season until all teams have there final place. You can celebrate weeks before though while other poor souls fight it out

Mak…to respond to your earlier question “Why won’t Messi come to City” my personal view is he will go back to Argentina, China is out, Europe, cannot see any team affording him even for a year, USA not his style and City will be a poor second to going home.I would love to see him at City though, even for a season and yes he would light up the Premier in Peps team I would even re consider my season ticket for next year to see him play again. His life style is well established and I doubt he will want to let the trappings go easily. The one thing he could do though is stay at Barca,who may not be reaching the heights of previous seasons but feel sure they will be back. Just a view The other thing about Messi and Ronaldo, despite there ages, they keep fit and when you watch them they still put in a team effort…..the nearest we have, with all respect, is Vardy

I can see your point Mak but if it is not, as you say, not definitive, that is my point of no value. What happens on the pitch, like Liverpool have been showing us is what matters, how well a club is doing depends on that, how well it is managed by the Manager then by the Board is another All about opinion Mak, no winners or losers My only other point is be it Liverpool or city or others I always thinks of the other teams who make the League possible without them there would be no Champions

I doubt if there is a fan who would not like the benefit of big money in there club but as we know, it never grantees results and never will by the same token being without adequate funds limits any clubs ambition. Occasionally they will do well but sustainable but good luck to any of them. It is all down to Management structure then

I think any Arab owners will look at the City model, where they have re built the club from top to toe and are still investing in the infra structure, so, you need people who love the game as well as putting a plan to take it forward. Over the last 10 years City have done that….now..on to the decade, whatever that may be
