Adlab…it depends on the mindset of the fan….like I have said before….Liverpool will not be given the title, they will be awarded it and deservedly so I cannot understand any football fan accepting the “given” remark
As to season tickets, I believe most will be re embursed when the season finally closes, as it should be
I cannot believe talk still goes on at the FA/UEFA about how the season should finish. It is not in there hands, the virus controls the field and the realistic view is, it will get worse, increasing deaths until end of July or maybe after…..so what is football going to do about that? NOTHING, because they cannot do anything, the only glimmer is to play behind closed doors but the Govt if it has any sense will stop that as well. Finish it now and move on Plus.if they arrange fixtures to be played this way, if just one player is affected, it affects the whole programme. Clubs will also have to draw on Police support and paramedics…services taken away from stretched resources trying to protect the public at large. Football is not that important only to SKY BBC, Media, FA and UEFA betting companies etc because they will loose millions. Funny, they do not mind when they make millions from us You have to laugh at the hypocrisy of Sky who claim broken contracts and want the money back from clubs. The Clubs should perhaps get better legal advice when drawing up contracts in the first place…..Greedy lot

No, you are not wrong Hightown but people have differing views on this and like it or not we will still be talking about it for a long time yet. However, you do raise a good point, at some point, which it will be different for each person, we need look outside the box we all find ourself in for the sake of our sanity. Yes , we can bring up different topics but that does not always generate discussion, so I guess it is a case of being patient and understanding the need of others. The forum was built around football but there is nothing to stop us having General chat, providing it is not political or religious where inflamed arguments would occur. After all, we are all supposed to be friends on here, so let us look for the good not the negative aspects of life

Mak…I would not be concerned about bitter fans, to me , they are not real fans. As I mentioned before, whatever the permutations being discussed they are wasting there time because this virus will get worse , make no mistake about that The date rate has shot up to day and by a large amount in Italy. Talking about what is right/wrong about football status is completely irrelevant. I am not saying, Mak, you should not have a view or anybody else, after all, I have had my say, but the Administrators should earn there money and make the hard decisions, if not, they will be too late and events will overtake them…quickly Of course there will be more losers than winners in the scenario I have mentioned, but overall, everybody looses. Liverpool should feel no loss of dignity or unworthiness , a well won campaign only beaten by a virus (and Watford!!) The virus is unbeatable at this stage and will be at least 2 years before we see any real progress

Sean…you are right, there are more important things to worry about than football. I do believe though that football, at least all the administrators do not understand what is happening.. FOOTBALL IS OVER, just get on with it and get ready for the next season. You cannot keep trying to satisfy all the permutations when they will not work. The virus is nowhere near reached its peak yet. When it does start, spectators/fans will be trying to balance there own finances as well so I would expect attendances to be down as well…at least if the fans had any sense. This is not going to go away soon and in my opinion next season will not start on time. Like I have stated before, er need strong positive action from the Administrators not wishful thinking and playing politics

Nine…I will wait to see how it all pans out. UEFA will be desperate for funds and I can see a huge fine appearing as a trade off to this protracted affair. Legal bills are mounting as well

Adlab…yes we have all these catastrophes fire, flood etc not Virus flu diabetes malaria and all other illness if it is natures way of controlling the earth and maybe population increase.

Adlab…liked your post about the over 70s, had a good laugh. I did find a solution to my divorce potential though, I play my keyboards through headphones now rather than speakers!!!!! This has a few other advantages as well!!!!!

Nine…is that the same maddock that used to think he ran City??? He knew nothing then I am sure all the media will be looking for ways to get it started again, regardless so they can keep jobs going, well, I have news for them there are tens of thousands of people feeling the same about there jobs as well and some have useful productive ones as well

As you can see from the forum post, there are lots of options but in view of the serious health threat there is only one option. Close the season NOW. That in itself freezes the league, then a decision has to be made who is Champion and who is relegated. The only other possibility is to replay the season with existing teams whenever it starts again. I have no problem with Liverpool being awarded title NOW, as to Relegation…teams involved can use play off formats behind closed doors or Accept the table as is. Somebody is going to loose out because you cannot cater for all the options, so, a brave decision is required by somebody The crisis deserves strong and decisive decision making

Adlab…NO…the season is over…give it to them now and shut down until September and review situation, there is no saying at this stage the health situation will improve in next 6 months, in fact, current evidence and thinking is it will go on longer. As Mr Klopp eluded to football is not important in this situation. I am in the high risk category but had already cancelled my City matches for rest of season, as painful as that was. This is the only way to look at it because it will not go away and a vaccine is at least 2years away before it gets to Joe public

Pagan…if that is the case, to me, it would confirm the complete and utter waste the FA are. By giving a “trophy to recognise the victory” is the same as awarding them the title in the first place. I can only think that the FA will have the support of most of the clubs in the PL to carry it through a vote. They will know WHU will not be giving them the title after Karen Brady’s speech
I just cannot understand what the problem is, if the league has finished for the season then the table stands as it is, Liverpool are No1 and those at the bottom stay at the bottom, tough, but you cannot keep making permutations, at some point it all catches up and in the meantime the league losses credibility because it fails to address the situation correctly. We are informed the virus will be with us for some considerable time…so get the plan in place and stop talking about it
As a PS….I hope the FA publish the vote from the clubs in fairness to the fans and have some transparency on the matter, after all, the fans pay a chunk of money to support the game_____________________________
