Pagan, in our village we have a very good carer who looks after all our shopping, We have not been in shops since lockdown started weeks ago. As mention on the other thread, I received a telephone call from City, a young lady asking how I was, did I need any help or assistance and a genuine interest in my welfare. I thought that was really good for City to seek me out and do that. Always knew why I supported City!!!!!!

Everything very quiet at City but I am happy to report one event yesterday I had a call from manchester City, a young lady phoned me to ask how I was and how I was coping with the lockdown She also asked if there was anything they could do to help, fortunately we are covered, we have a wonderful carer who does our shopping with a smile but I though how nice it was for City to take time and ask, well done City, appreciated

Mav and Pagan….well stated. I am glad I am not alone in my desire to see the game return, but, only after everything else has been put before it in priorities. I have a long history as a football fan, love the game but it comes a poor second when i miss my family so much more. You are right also the FA, UEFA etc have completely misunderstood or have complete lack of knowledge of what is at stake.They are playing with peoples lives, if they are confident, why do they want disclaimers in force….just a cover up for protection against liability. make no mistake, I would not be surprised if they did not ask fans to sign one as well..My message to them…Get your priorities right.

So, as I understand it at the moment the FA
1. Want to start games behind closed doors
2 They want staff and players to sign a disclaimer against them (Great way to negotiate)
3 No mention of how THEY will handle fans who turn up….and they will…
4.No mention of how they will actually protect staff and players

An effective plan is not durable or affordable to clubs until we get significant improvement to the real problem of solving the problem. For clubs to try and circumnavigate this shows how much they are driven by TV, sponsors, neither could care less of the nations plight

The solution, in my view, is stop the fruitless planning and scapulas last season. Plan for a new start up, although I believe that will be 2021 before we see full grounds

I give up on the subject after this, too many interest and energies in getting football started when more is required in society

Nine…you are right..even talking and suggesting these proposals they loose credibility, but for me, they lost that a long time ago. To think, these people are paid big money and a lavish style, attend all big events but do little else

You can see where this is going, nothing to do with Coronavirus, thin edge of wedge gets deeper
80 minute game, more breaks, that in turn means the real target…more advertising breaks It is all to do with getting the game started when they should be thinking of how to stop people catching the virus and the following death rate. The game has finished how we knew it and we will have no say at all. I do not want to watch football under these rules I just wish these people would be honest with the population as a whole

The clubs are responsible for the health and safety of all staff, visiting personnel and fans. There is no get out clause to this, so, if they want to be sure and safe..plan for 2021 and stop faffing around Clubs will go bust, I feel the same sorrow as I do for local firms going bust as well and they do not have wealthy owners , investors and sponsors.

It now appears clubs want to get players to sign a contract when they call them in, presumably to protect themselves from liability if they get Corona 19….any player that signs it must be mad it is just another protection racket. I would certainly need a lawyer to look at the fine print before I signed anything. The Coronavirus is NOT going away anytime soon, it does not matter if Governments make life easier or not, they should keep lockdown longer until they have ample proof they are on top of the situation…To day,, nobody is

I have stated my personal view. IF City have broken the rules then they deserve everything they get.I have no problem with that. I just wonder though going to Arbitration is a big decision, not one you would take lightly, so they must have reasonable confidence that they have found weakness in UEFA case and they are sure of there own facts and actions. We all have to wait and see now.

Love KDB but if he goes, somebody else comes in. It is just that the wheel does not stop turning in football Very few people stay at a club now, Silva, Augerro, Kompany exceptional, Other clubs will have odd players also but you need to be talking at least 7 years if you want to call them loyal. I shed no tears for any player who wants to move on, that is there choice

As I suggested a long time ago, when the TV companies get complete control of the game we will go to American style thinking 20 minute “periods” 2 hours per game and 11 on the pitch and 13 on the bench…….you may laugh now BUT…..its coming!!!!!!! Plenty of “popcorn” during the game though
