Nine, I was not targeting Neville in particular, but do agree with Pagan’s comments earlier. It is just the amount of nonsensical analysis where they try and make everything a science in what they do…it is a sport and in sport anything can happen usually by accident not design.

Nine…made up for all the years of suffering.. I do believe though, as much as the money invested had a big say, I believe the culture change in Management has had a bigger effect and I am not just talking about Pep The Club as a whole has changed dramatically, I know that because I have seen so many changes but the last decade has seen improvement in all aspects of the club.

Nine, that is my problem and I suspect 442.. we do not want personal opinion but factual analysis without the dramatics. OK, I know I am asking for the near impossible but the quality we see is getting worse and they should be trying to do better. I wonder if the reason is they are trying to build there own image through the job. I do agree with you about neville though, he is successful with his enterprises, I think, so not entirely clueless like most of them Why do we need so many of them on at once, the Budget could be cut in half at a stroke. If we watch the game, we have our own opinion

Nine…I have a view about Presenters, be it Sport, Politics whatever They SHOULD be there to present an impartial but pragmatic view of events not to use air time as there public domain to give personal opinions. That is the problem broadcasting has in general to day, it has become predjudist to its own views, the BBC is a prime example.

As the ball moved forward, I think it was Kompany, I thought last chance, the flurry that happened in the next few seconds kind of numbed me, when the goal went in I could not even cheer, then when I saw Augerro wheel away and the net still rippling, I just let go. A full 5 minutes I still could not take it in

I have a question
What if the FA/EPL and Govt say go ahead and play behind closed doors in June.
If some of the players from each club did not want to take the risk, how will this be treated? They cannot penalise them in any way unless they give 100% guarantees on safety..they will not do that and have already printed disclaimers, although this is dressed up another way.

How are they going to handle the “die hard” fans that turn up. The Police apparently have said they have no problem with it but at the same time they have no power to stop a crowd not social distancing….so….what laws apply, who is responsible if actions take place by fans? The FA/EPL. the club. Local Council ,Police or the fans???????

I guess it will be down to another “Enquiry” to keep MPs and lawyers busy

OR, do you think nothing will happen and it will pass peacefully

I should add, that Have made my decision, because of my age it is likely that restrictions will go on for us geriatrics longer, I suspect maybe into 2021 and because there will be a increased number of evening matches, this makes it hard for me. City are 125 yrs old and it is hard to believe I have watched them for 75 of those years. I do intend to treat myself occasionally and push the boat out and get a ticket/meal package when they are available. Of course I will always be “City til I die” I have notified the club accordingly

Yesterday I , like other seas-card holders of City received a letter explaining what was happening with the unfinished season cards and plans for next season still waiting confirmation. We then had the option to get credit for the matches not played or credit your account ready for next season.
I thought it was a well laid out letter. At least they have taken the initiative and kept the City fans aware of what to do.

Nine, like you miss the family, particularly our new Great Grandson bu they are all special to us
The positive/negative thing I do not think about too much, I guess I always have a feeling it will work out, so I guess I lean towards the positive side. I do like the overview though and like different posters have done on here recently given a good account on how they see things and who is to say they are wrong, OK or right. Football appears to be the point of concern, forget sport…think football..this is a football forum. I am like others my interest in football has wained, I guess it will creep back as we get started again but it will certainly not rush back. I have found other interest and things to occupy myself with which I am enjoying. I am not much on to watching TV, in fact, I think I am watching less. Just do not worry folks, Christmas shopping will be upon us soon!!!!

The best I can say is “I was there”. I have never heard a noise like it anywhere, anytime, more than just a loud cheer mixed up with emotion, shrieks and the whole atmospheric accumulation. Two players were also important apart from Sergio…Dzeko and Ballotelli lets not forget them but the whole team deserved the win after a somewhat City”give away” game almost consumed us

It also reminds me of something many years ago when I was asked to attend a meeting to develop a material to stop a certain type of shell/bullet penetrating a certain area, We finally reached a solution and as we finished up the guy I was talking to, waved at the guy in the next office. he then turned to me and said, that would be the guy who will try and design a bullet/shell to penetrate the new material> The point of this is that they were thinking of “kill or cure” . They may not have done this for Coronavirus or it has got out of control and we are left with “Kill”

Not conspiracy but probability and looking at some of the countries with such strong motives on there agenda makes you think

We know there are many countries active in germ warfare, it was once said, I forget who, that you did not need a large occupation army if you could neutralise the people. Sean…the only thing I would say about the world needing football/sport is, I would have thought the only thing the man/wpman in the street should be concerned about is when there job starts again and if it does not, what are they doing to find a planB in case worst case scenario happens. I would put all my effort into that aspect, any sport would be bottom of list because it is not essential. As a country we need to get our Manufacturing base back for the future, including real apprentership courses

Paxton…I am of a similar view, however, we need two things to happen

1. To try and get back some positives in our lives
2. I would like the media, whoever they are, to stop being Bias (yes BBC I mean you) and print at least 50% good news. That will at least make us feel better instead of all the doom and gloom

Fifa, Uefa FA are impotent because respective Govt. put the rules down which they have to adhere to, what we have though, is self interested parties like TV, Betting companies putting pressure on all sides until they get what they want.
I am surprised our Police Chiefs have agreed in principal for the game to start being closed doors, I just wonder, how many police they have allocated for the job and who will be picking up the cost. Make no mistake, there will be thousands outside some grounds, no social distancing. The police will probably throw a cordon around the ground but the fact they have to do this makes it a nonsense, so why did they agree to it?

When we have some measure of control of the situation then think about sport, not yet though, too soon

Threeps…like I said earlier, the media have a lot to answer for, instead of being our medicine they are being our illness. They are more than capable of doing better and giving better quality reporting and balanced objective reporting it would help….but good news never sells does it

I am coming to a different view, with all the scramble to do something that cannot be done, i.e. start football with crowds again, it would also appear to me that there is a lot of resistance to closed pitch playing, rightly so in my opinion. SO, what are we left with? many players do not want it and importantly cannot be made to play. I would support them on this stance

The first issue would be, do we finish the last season? I do not see a problem with that but we are months away not weeks. Finish the season, take a break and start a new season, I still see that as January, no doubt it will be pushed through before then with all the risks that applies and we pay the price later

There is an unseemly rush with football hierarchy , I know they want there pound of flesh, but they must understand the gravity of what we are talking about and I honestly do not think they do or care. We have to rely on the Govt not to cave in to the demands. Sean, I have never been a lover of politicians but they have a situation, not of there making, or indeed, any Govt. you can only take the best shots you can give on advice, everyone will get some part wrong and we all strive for the right solution. We cannot afford or is it desirable to have divisions at this time
keep it simple, clear and understandable unfortunately you will always get people like the latest drunks taking up A&E time something we can ill afford
