Since February this year I have lost 3 close friends and now have son in law just about to go
I would like to add though that none of these are about CV19 so may upset statistics in a small way
A depressing time but it makes me fight a bit harder and appreciate life each day, so, if I read like I am anti everything, I am not…well maybe our media and politicians and all the consultants, experts who bleed the country dry for guesswork I will be more cheerful next post..promise

Adlab Pt 2 The media have a story that will run for x days be it true, false and that is all that matters, nothing much else to write about and this will titalate many.

My view is he may have got his personal reasons right but his actions wrong. Given the same situation I wonder how many of us would have made the same decision, not easy to answer. I am missing my family, my son in law is close to death and I cannot get to see my daughter or to say goodbye….in that context it is unfair and many more like us.Out of respect for all, he should consider his position as a “Advisor” to our PM The country come first when in a position of authority like he is

Mikus…I remember great headers of the ball, that is the old very heavy, covered in mud ball fired in for somebody to get there head on. I was surprised they did not collapse on the spot. It does need resolving but also takes something away from the game but a price has to be paid for safety. It will happen….eventually or when the legal action hots up

Pagan it is what it is….and you say…….political games played out in front of your very eyes. Cummins, I do have a view…he was wrong…he should have resigned last week now Boris has dug a hole for himself Every party has had its rule breaker, for me, no political points there. The media has nothing better to do so will find another story when this wraps up. It will be interesting to see what Boris but more important what Gove does…he will see an opportunity arising here.

Ed..what I am suggesting is getting people back to work, shops open schools open…..football has to wait, no matter how long. They will start it because money will drive it but I would like to know just exactly WHO said it will be safe

Ed. What we know now, and that is little I suspect, that there will be an on going problem. I also think that just about every ket Pharma Company will be trying to solve this, because it means big bucks to them. It maybe said the country needs football, I would say, Sport more than football, however what people are also aware of the clamour to get it started is commercially driven. This opens up a new era to something we did not want, litigation in whatever form it takes.The legal profession will be working overtime on this. The nervous now about that and WHO takes responsibility for striating the game is the issue, The media may champion the cause but will not take any responsibility. It is also under stable if the organisations concerned are not willing to take that responsibility then you can hardly expect players, refs etc to do so. Then there is the wider public to consider who at some point will be in contact with the numbers who will be active in the game. My question then is “Who will take the responsibility??
I still fall back on my priorities in getting business, shops and services back before sport and particularly football the cash cow of the betting world. That is my pennyworth Ed

From what I have seen of different teams training, they looked a happy lot and why not….having a chat with friends, maybe 20/30 of them. The question remains, if players refuse to sign the disclaimer what will the League do? I would like football back soonest but unless the risk is dramatically reduced over a period then we will have to wait and concentrate on the more important aspect of getting people back to work and Companies start there business again. That should be taking the column inches up not sports gossip.

Chuky…break the mould. I am normally I get up early 6/7 am depending on the cat!!!! sometimes 5 am I have broken that and stay in bed until 8/9 am. Normally go bed 10,30…now 12.00/1.00am
During the day I need to get my music creation going early because I know I will fall asleep later but in between I take a walk, few laps of the cricket field opposite where i live. Anything for a change of routine I am sure you will find a way

Pagan…I do not know about you and others but I have found time has passed surprisingly quick. (at my age, not sure that is a good thing!!!!!!) Rarely been out of the house and garden, watched less TV but have done more reading, played keyboards a lot, plus working out the complex OS on each board and having a good chat with friends on computer I will be pleased when it is over, we miss our trips to the places we normally go to. Have not filled my car for two months now but its service is overdue, waiting for Garage to open All metic then…not doing much!!!!!

Stay strong Chuky, the one thing that will get us through this is determination to get through it, no matter what. If it is going to get me, it will have auto fight me…it will….but I will still beat it I do not know anything about Finish Law but I think what you have described is reasonable or it could be easily open to widespread abuse. Contracted personnel will be different and very much dependent on the contract agreed and how the new scenario maybe affect it. Hope you are OK on all counts Chuky. I set myself targets walking each day now, something to focus on, I am not trying for any records but just to set myself benchmarks…..I am still underachieving!!!!!!

Pagan, I for one, would like to see the women’s game progress, I do go and watch City ladies, not a regular but maybe next season since I will not be at first team matches. I go,, have a good seat, nice meal and car park just outside the door then watch a good game, well the ones I have been to so far. I can also take Grandchildren. Only one drawback at City stadium is they allow somebody in with a big drum, which is awful in sound and playing of. Chelsea v City one of the best encounters of the season

It makes you wonder though, this is not an isolated case and young footballers do not learn from events in recent history. It is probably down to, too much money too soon, unfortunately that is what the game has developed to there liking and to hell with the consequences of the downside.
Football was simple once upon a time, not for a long time now though. Sometimes I wonder, did I like standing in the rain, crushed up against a barrier, the thing is though, as best i can remember you enjoyed a match more and talked with visiting fans. To day it is a sanitised version and we watch part theatrical and athletic performances but the feel of a real football game diminished. I know some will say Liverpool, City Chelsea ec offer good football but they are a minority, think football as a whole. I am sad about the women’s game, more support and encouragement should be given, apart from games on the local park they are the nearest to a proper game, No arguing with Refs, rolling over as if shot and 100% effort for 90 minutes. Quality..well it will improve given the chance and Chelsea have a good footballing team I suppose the money people will get to them eventually as well

Madness….make no mistake..it is not about the well being of the public it is about putting a bet on and advertising such on TV They can dress it up all they want but will they say it is without risk?
