Mikus….when you see the Beach lovers and cars plugging the country lanes it puts the Cummins thing into perspective.. I could never understand the lines of cars waiting for a Beefburger either, Quicker, cheaper and more sensible to do it at home Thousands are breaking the rules daily and will be doing so to morrow, from that point you get what you deserve no good keeping blameing the Govt. and it does not matter which Govt is in office, people would do exactly the same thing and still complain.

The points you raise Sean are still a concern. Not long ago, many, particularly media and interested parties TV and betting companies, screaming for lock down to be eased, NOW the cry is…”ITS TOO SOON” I think the Police will make a judgement how many they want at game and who will pay for it. Interesting photos on TV Beaches on South coast packed Backpool virtually empty.I was on part of the Blackpool road and it was very quiet.
As to transfers how many times has Pogba been transferred to Italy, How many times is Sanchez signing for Utd? Like you, I look at them as more fake news but I guess somebody is making a living out of making fake news articles. TV I am fed up with Lineler, Shearing and Wright keep re living the past, particularly in games they played. BBC should get more variation and interesting topics, a king of Question Time on football, although in saying that it will probably become political again!!!! It proves one thing to me the TV and media are not up for the job in getting sensible programmes/reading to the foremost. Lack of quality and foresight

442…I hear what you are saying but from the year dot it has always been the way of whoever is at the top and whatever system is used. It will go on forever. It has become more sophisticated and has many black arts but I really do not know how things could change, dare I say it…..for the better. No such thing, internal politics and politics within politics would make it impossible. A revolution would not solve the problem either, look at Russia and China never mind N.Korea
We can only hope for a fair press and broadcasting system, that is asking a lot but Have no other solution to this. Politicians of our current era are poor in stature and standards, so I have zero faith in them

Oh, I forgot to mention, I had a follow up to the phone call I mentioned in earlier post. A letter arrived thanking me for my support over the years etc, etc…it was nicely worded and appreciated. I would have liked it to have been signed by The Chairman or Pep though….better still Augerro/Silva!!!!

City have been quiet re transfers, just the Sane saga with Bayern going on. My view..Let him go…make them pay. If not play out his contract, he may not fancy that route. I suppose much will depend on the Court case, I am not concerned about that either, like I said before, the CL will be defunct shortly and replaced by bigger Cups and competitions, or it will be made into a proper league, Problem will be..who will be invited by the Football Mafia. I would be more than happy for City to chase the domestic trophies for next couple of seasons, then there will be change on a European and global scale

442…well I did read it, but it is just one mans view and some of the points surprised me. I would have said the last thing the Independent paper was is Conservative. They are Labour and far from be “independent” Others are biased as he is accusing others of.
In the real world you could line them all up and not believe any of them, because they all have a flag to wave, certainly the BBC is the most bias institution we have to day, far away from when it was the portrayer of facts and good reporting
Joe public deserve better but it will not be in my lifetime

I listened to the Cummins interview, for me, he offered a plausible reason BUT I simply do not believe him now. Too many parts of his story do not gel together. The matter is made worse by Boris who should have had sense to distance himself from it since no apology was offered or seemed necessary.
I have a son in law dyeing quarter mile away and I cannot get to see him, what can i do Boris, tell me. I was prepared to give him the benefit of doubt and without getting caught up in the media witch-hunt, I listened to the Housing minister this morning in a pathetic defence of Cummins action, same applies to Hancock. It appeared to me there mouths were working but there heads somewhere else. Boris need to sort this now or his credibility will vanish as quickly as it came
If the PM has to rely on such a person who gives such lame excuses, my question, is what quality of advise is he giving our PM and the rest of us!!!! I should remind him that you do not take a car out to check your eyesight as well, what a fool. I am glad i was not driving anywhere near him on those days I wonder what his Insurance company thinks about this

Paxton..agree with you 100% I also noticed all the photographers never kept social distance either…hypocritical media who should have insisted there employees or sub contractors obey the rules. Lets have some fairness. Why cannot the media get together and say we will have one person interviewing and share the broadcast…no .they will not say that because ,,,,”its me first” “our scoop” etc etc

Thanks Chuky really appreciate your words. I smile now when I think about it, my three friends, my golfing friends all badgered me to retire earlier like them, I was almost 77 when I retired,9myears ago, now they have gone and I could not face a golf club now even if I had strength to pick it up and swing it Some great memories though
