Nine…OK. it is good when Liverpool and City fans agree on something… rare. but good!!!!! I am off for a time now, I have to have a Pacemaker fitted because my slow heart beat is causing some concern at Hospital. I find that strange because my heart was pumping when Mahrez missed another penalty, I blame it on him!!!!!

ED…I only watch one game at a time and see how that turns out at the end of the season. City did not play badly against Brighton but still not up to speed, Brighton showed a way to get at City though….Dortmund will have noted that to night as will Leicester and Mr Vardy

I also remember when City were favourites to win and we were No1 at the time, then we signed Rodney Marsh!!!!!! Maybe I am loosing a bit of passion since I have stopped attending but I still love them!!!! PLUS…we are going to loose games, it is unto you lot to win yours.

Nil…as a PS….I think statistics are bunkum, what purpose other than a discussion point for TV do they serve??? A coach will know where they have gone wrong/right, if not, he is not good enough. Players will know where they have played well or not. I read the match report Wolves/Leicester it stated Wolves had majority of play , Leicester had few shots but scored with every one, How much value on that? They clock miles on how far a player runs, yet we know some of the most dangerous players run less than others I suppose though in the modern game it is a tool and if a team picks player A who runs 5 miles a match is better than Player B who only runs 3 miles. This begs the question is Player A or b the better player?
Something for you to think about to night

Nil…we all have our views and that is just right, probably more disagree that agree with any one topic but that is the nature of football and how it is seen. I honestly think Posters on here are very good at a whole range of topics better than I have experienced elsewhere. It is also the nature of forums because some can express themselves very well and I hope my words to you expresso themselves OK because I certainly did not mean any offence, I had a smile on my face when I typed, I just enjoy your OTT Liverpool love….I love City…but not that much!!!!! maybe something I am missing

Sean…I still miss Hansen and Lawrenson….like you cannot stand the pundits of to day, expert know it all from some who have never been great themselves but good at moving images around a TV screen, how ludircous is that, all. ..after the event. As I have eluded to before. Football will never be a science, just an art form

Nine/Lucky. re Favourites..City. I get what you are both saying but I still do not understand it or why. When City were a “poor” team and fighting relegation I still went to a match thinking we could win this game, I knew it was wishful thinking most of time but I never accepted defeat before a game was played and being pragmatic never expected a win!!!!! I just laugh at all the seriousness of how fans see games now, they become statistical genius’s . As far as bookie go , of course they will always offer what is best for them, at any moment and change it when necessary. If City loose two on the trot watch the odds change then, however, that is there business and they are good at it, and wealthy, but little to do a game of football. I am sure Leicester will fancy there chances on Saturday, if not, they deserve what they get.

Nil…you are biggest contributor….I would not call your remarks boring, predictable maybe and at times fanciful but I always enjoy your posts. Ed…now that will upset Nil!!!!!
I do not rule anybody out and do not care what the bookies say, they quote the odds to get you to part with your money._____________________________

We have also been conceding more possession in recent games, Liverpool and Brighton latest examples. I do not think this was tactical from City but the opposing team was better. Unlike us but it can be done.

I keep telling you guys, nothing is certain, City are not even top at the moment and we will loose games this season, even Ederson tried to score an own goal last week!!!!. I suspect he maybe colour blind passing to the opposition. The season has only just started, now we have the WC Circus then back at a festive time of the year…I suspect a lot will happen and there is no certainty about anything. A long way to go and some teams are closer to City than you think. Cheer up for goodness sake

Still not at our best but credit Brighton, we earned those points to day. Next week, Leicester are fighting as well so expect a similar game after the Dortmund game

I fully expect tough game to morrow against Brighton. City need to bounce back and Brighton need to impress new manager, they are a useful side anyway.I would play Grealish for this game though, give Gungdagan or Bernado a rest for Wednesday

Nil…Agree with that but it happens. This is not an isolated incident, I believe other clubs have/had it as well. Footballers are paid well to do a job not run a club from within

ED…you have needed that kind of management. The concern I would have if I was a Utd fan is IF Utd top management will support him enough over long term. I think he needs 3 years to get Utd to where he wants

Chuky…the game has changed, you, I or anybody else cannot do anything about it. I was trying to say that as fans are too involved in the politics and not the game. I believe things will change, when, I do not know but they will change. We should just enjoy the game of football not how big the club is, if you cannot divorce yourself from that, then you loose the joy of the game because you are more interested in other aspects. For me, football has always been about football ever since I was a lad and that was a long time ago .That could be a good game. Gillingham v Spurs on a wet winter night think what you may have missed, like 3-0 for Gillingham, with Harry Kane scoring a hat trick for them…he was transferred 5 minutes before kick off!!!

To make comparisons with anything in football is not faultless and as we know, you can make statistics suit any occasion. The only thing that matters is players on the pitch and the final score. We also know, nothing last forever in football, you enjoy the moment and the next team comes along and the next era starts then fans will find something different to complain about. It would be an education for some of these teams to drop to the third tier with fans so they can start appreciating football again and not be so judgemental on others. I like City’s quality of football, win or loose but I still watched them play lower down the leagues because I liked watching them, admit the quality was non existent but it was a game of football from a team I grew up with. It never crossed my mind that Club x had more money or it was unfair, I know I was not alone in this thought, the reason was,it did not matter, We did not need somebody regulating the game as we do now….for the benefit of who??? Men in suits, 100’s of them in posh offices in Geneva and wherever, why not on a Trading estate in Milton Keynes, I am sure Germany etc have them as well.Football will always have an owner that is financially strong, whoever it is but it will not be forever. OK, the old fogey’s ramble over now
