Ed The palace deal for Mangala fell through that’s my understanding of why no Evans. Pulils has made himself look like a bit of a fool if he can’t now ship out Evans having said he wouldn’t stand in his way. Which is exactly what he has done. By rejecting 20m in tbe first place. Tbh he didn’t have a too bad a pre season. Just not as comfortable on the ball. Looks like Bony is going thank goodness. I don’t think he ever fully recovered from the malaria he got the summer before he joined us. He just seemed to lose all his pace very quickly.

Looks like no Sanchez. But not where I would have strengthened tbh. If Mangala doesn’t fit Peps style I would have bid for Dick Van Dyke. I think a centre half was more important. But what on earth do I know lol

Sorry I just can’t see it JC and Ed. I agree about said depth and player prices look at Evans and Drinkwater!! But I just don’t think he’s good enough he’s just an average squad player. He’s no game changer is he? I would be really disappointed if we blew that much on him. And trust me we have blown more than most on some garbage players the last few years. Bony and Jovetic immediately spring to mind. I hear he’s a Liverpool fan, well if he really is he would not have joined you! To my mind Klopp needed to bring in quality not quantity. I hear Lamar is good. So are Lamar and Chamberlain good enough to replace Coutinio? Is he going to go or has John Henry opened up his wallet? Having said all that no doubt he will come on the pitch have a stormer and score the winner on the 9th Sep.

Really Ed, personally I dont think he’s nowhere near good enough to get in to Liverpool’s first team. Creates nothing and is hardly a game changer is he. He’s worse than Barkley lol. I can’t see any Liverpool fan being pleased with that kind of outlay for such a bang average player. Christ we have just sold Nasri for the cost of a pint and a packet of crisps and he’s twice the player Chamberlain is. Is Kenny back in charge of transfers at Anfield?

Haha, tbh I have had enough of arguing on forums. Will mention the site to some mates. I havent posted on the old TT City page since last year. Looked a couple of times this season but its full of adverts and pretty unusable. I also lost my log on with a new phone and so cant relly get on the page to let the guys know about this site. Ps City sold 13% of the club/group to a totally non related Chinese company for $400m about 18mths ago. So I am pretty sure we are safe from any further FFP sanctions. All that said, I would still prefer a level playing field in the PL with a salary transfer cap. As you probably remember?! Jim

And now Arsenal apparently want Aguero as a swap for Sanchez. This really is silly season. Put simply Aguero is better than Sanchez, he has the best goals to minutes scored in the premiership ever, and has 3yrs left on his contract. He must be worth at least 100mill in this current crazy climate. Sanchez can leave on a free next summer. Yep silly season.

Cash plus Sterling for Sanchez. Really!? Sterling is only 22 to my mind had a good season last season and is only going to get better. Would prefer if we. Offered Mangala plus cash.

I thought Saints had said that they wouldn’t sell Van Dijk to Liverpool for any money after Klopp tapped him up. Then Liverpool apologised? and said they had ended their interest, presumably to stop Saints reporting them. I don’t see why they would want to sell him anyway. Just like Liverpool clearly don’t want to sell Coutinio and are not going to. Given all that’s gone on I think Van Dijk to Liverpool is far from certain. But stranger things have happened.

Banjo, trust me it happened with Daniel’s in fact he went further than Sterling. But as it wasn’t an injury time winner and the Bmouth fans were more subdued and/or the stewards did their job. He didn’t get booked for arguably a more stirring celebration. Last week Rooney scores for Everton at the Etihad and immediately runs to the City fans and goades them. Strangely no card! By the way i dont think Rooney should have got a card for that as it’s part of the passion in the game but what he did was definitely more antagonistic than Sterling running to his own fans. Dean was pathetic the whole game to be honest. I used to think he was a good ref but not these days.

Banjo, are you on a windup Lol? Let me ask you this why didn’t Daniel’s get a yellow card for running further towards the crowd and kicking the hoarding when he scored and why didn’t Dean book the other four or five City players who also ran over to celebrate with Sterling. You and I both know that behind the scenes the powers that be will tell Dean he was wrong to make that booking and a little secrete dictat will go out to all officials telling them not to repeat that and we won’t see another booking like that the rest of the season.

Hi Ed, thank you for the welcome. Most pundits I have read and listened to have slated Dean for his second yellow against Sterling. None more so than Garth Crooks in his BBC team of the week, he even talks about it being cancelled but I can’t see that happening it would be a precedent and the powers that be always back the refs to the hilt regardless of how bad they are. To my mind City are not clicking yet. We still look a bit shaky at the back and need to to take our chances. I know a few fans who are not comfortable with Peps one style of play, ie passing the ball into the net. We have no plan B against a team that sits deep and defends in numbers. No target man and wide high crosses to Jesus or Aguero are not going to work. On the plus side, Mendy and Bernardo Silva look impressive. And if we can keep Vinny fit we will be close in the run in. Liverpool next, a real bogey team for us so a win at the Etihad will give the team plenty of confidence. Will be a good game for the neutral. Jim
