Have to agree Brian. Just can’t see it happening now. Still a magical player as we saw last night with that hatrick which included 2 very special goals. But 30yrs old means that even he is probably too old for €300m or whatever. But throw in several million shirt sales a year and who knows. Never say never lol.

If they left is la liga would end up like Scotland is now. At least with them in la liga its a two horse race. That’s why the premiership is the best league in the world.
The only thing that just might swing it is if Barca do leave and have a say in where they play. I very much suspect they would want to play in the league with the most money. And that is unquestionably is the Premier league. And as regards which team you would relegate, that’s easy it would be one of the Welsh sides obviously!

Yes guys the game is probably faster I admit. Hope Mendy is back sooner but I doubt they will rush this kind of injury. Don’t know what to say about Kompany. He turned up for international duty but then got sent home. Make of that what you will.

Any team that doesn’t contain Stones, Walker or Sterling is fine by me. All sterling and stones get is flack from so called expert pundits and England fans who just don’t appreciate them and I don’t want them risking injury playing some pointless game now that we have qualified. He needs to give some youngsters a go. But he won’t he will play the same players who will be even less inclined to make an effort chase things down and risk trying creative things. Southgate is a poor manager in my eyes. But i except he hasn’t a lot to work with. He needs to break with tradition and try out soome young lads in midfield especially.

Hi Surrey, yes from what I have read Mendy is as good as out for the rest of the season sadly. Gundog is back which is good news. Hope Delph is back soon he has really done a good job the last couple of games.

Who else do we have that can act as a midfield playmaker aside from the ineffective Henderson and Dier. Southgate has talked about Wilshire but for me he has always just looked average at best. Need to give some of the younger players a go perhaps.

Exactly Brian and Nine. We have no Gerrard or Lampard in midfield anymore. Imo Henderson and Dier do not have the passing ability to break a disciplined side down. Shame as at the moment i think we have very good forwards in Rashford Sterling and Kane
