Ed, just read your post above. Honest question what do you consider long term? The reason I ask is clearly you fellas were spoilt under Fergusson. Most good managers these days last what 3- 5 years tops. Then the bubble bursts. Mouriniho lasts 3 yrs and up until last season unquestionably you could say he was a serial winner. What do you realistically expect of the next United manager whoever and whenever he appears? Jim

Didn’t see game but from what I’ve read United played ok in the first half. Spurs the better side second half. You have to take your chances or you get punished, its that simple. United didn’t Spurs did. City didnt take their chances on Sat and got punished albeit by a dodgy goal.

I agree nine. Combination of City not just clicking in a number of postions, Wolves playing very well in midfield and defence. City not finishing and a very lucky goal. It happens. Three games in is not the end of the world. I have no doubt we will improve vs Newcastle. Hope Foden at least gets on the bench and the untouchable Gundogwan sits on the bench.

Moos interesting point about Kompany. I agree to an extent that kompany is held in such revenance by the club and fans that to a degree he escapes criticism. But even though injured alot the past few seasons many fans still think he organises our defence well. Not sure who was a fault for their hand ball goal yesterday , was it laporte ? To be honest I didnt take note.

Not enough on Dave for a Pen for me and Aguero probably was a Pen but catching his trailing leg with a slight contact is a hard for a ref to see imo. We had our chances but just didn’t take them.

Oh don’t get me wrong Adlab, VAR would have definitely have ruled out that goal. But the PL authorities decided in their infinite wisdom that it wasn’t needed. It will be in next season I am sure. Jim

Sorry Adlab, but with all due respect I have to dissagree a little bit. There were a few clever little fouls on Sterling in the first half but it’s rear that they are given. I think both Dave and Kun made the most of their penalty claims. The handball wasn’t obvious at first and Atkinson was knighted. It was even a hard call for the lino. Offside was easier to call. And even Ederson didnt claim handball. We did get plenty of other calls and many in dangerous areas. I think it was just one of those days in all fairness. Jim

Fair assessment nine. Wolves a bit lucky on their goal. But until VAR comes in those issues will happen. City didnt quite click today but that happens. Mendy does look a bit suspect in defence and certainly wasn’t as good going forwards today. Not sure why Mahrez was brought on so late? But fair play to Wolves, well organised today.
