Well Beni, footballers don’t get great press most of the time. So It’s nice when they do do some good things. Bellamy is a prime example. Not many fans of other clubs warmed to the guy on a football pitch. But he kept his charity work quite quiet initially and came across as a quite a humble person in the interview I saw him in. Agree about big Ron. My Dad is very similar although he has moved with the times and he certainly isn’t racist and like you I have never heard him say the N word. So big Ron was bang out of order in that respect. But he has never been given another chance which is a shame. Completely ostracised.

How about Ronaldo for that wink. God I loathed him at that point. But in recent years I hear he has done loads for charity and unprompted gave his actual trainers he was wearing away as a gift for an auction. Not many would do that.

Thatchers elbow on Mendes comes a close second to Keanes assault on Harland. Keane just seems to dislike everybody these days. Even seems to have issues with United the club that made him as a player.

I shall throw in a certain midfield philospher Joey Barton. Lest we forget Joeys roll call: Stubbed a cigar out in a junior players eye, beat up fellow player Osamar Dabo?? during training. Beat up a taxi driver. Beat up a teenage everton fan. Drove into a pedestrian in his car. Got done for assault in Liverpool. Numerous yellow and red cards on the field. Took part in illegal betting. Genuine all round nice guy! Gutted when he left us ? We also had a nice fella called Ben Thatcher who flattened Mendes with a flying intentional elbow. He really let our club down.

Hi Spang, I thought that about Napoli and they certainly upped their game after ht as we got a little ragged. But as you say our defence was brilliant and I also thought we still made the better chances and Reina was the busier keeper in the second half.

Really Brian? They reported that our defence was same old City? That is ridiculous. I think Otamendi and Stones have been superb this season. The full backs have been great also. Same old media rubbish more like. Just like Sterling is overated nonsense you still here in the media. I can’t think of one of our players that has put in even average performances this season. Jim

Nine, Liverpool away is probably our hardest fixture. We haven’t won at Anfield since an Anelka brace about 15 years ago. The Scousers definitely have a hoodoo over us at there’s.

Haven’t seen any tv games, but it sounds like Spurs and Liverpool both had good games. Certainly not easy going to Madrid and picking up a point.

Thought the first 45mins we were brilliant again. Second half Napoli upped their game and we started to flag with passes going astray, the same team as on Sat was bound to have some fatigue. Roll on Burnley.

Pep might theoretically take a point at Anfield if offered?? but does anybody think he would set out the team for a point. No chance, he seems to approach every game exactly the same be it Stoke at home or Chelsea away, it’s just pass, press and attack.

Hi Adlab, have to agree tough test.
Peps swashbuckling blue heroes take on the current best team in Italy. Wonder how he will set up? Aguero and Jesus to start? Does it even matter. Really looking forward to it, me and one of my girls going. Will be a big test for us as a team. One of my most disappointing moments last season was Monaco away where we set out looking as we were chasing the game when we didn’t need to and got ripped on the break. But this is a new season. We certainly won’t sit back that’s for sure. 3-1 Jim
