Ed I know what you are saying but I don’t really see Moyes as the same safe pair of hands as Pulis or Alardyce. Since he left Everton 4 yrs ago his career has nosedived somewhat. He seems to have been appointed as West Ham manager just because he managed United?

Somehow Moyes seems to be a backwards step from Bilic.

David Luiz not even on the bench. And Costa told he wasnt wanted by text? No doubt who’s in charge at Chelsea. Its Conte way or the highway.

Mikus I see where you are coming from. But I just don’t think you would get a violent uprising against a repressive state in a modern western democracy. I don’t know what the gun laws in Germany were in the 1930s but I do know that Hitler and the Nazis were voted into power and had a lot of support until they started to lose the war. So not sure if there was ever going to be a people’s uprising in that case. The problem your suggestion has is that it is impossible to vet and profile everyone who has or or wants to own a gun so as to establish whether they are suitable to own one. Also peoples state of mind changes and a fit and proper person one day might flip for any number of reasons and become a lunatic. Its so much easier to outlaw guns altogether. Why would anyone want to own an assault rifle? No one needs one of them. How many people have to be murdered before they wake up and sell the coffee. The politicians on the payroll of the gun lobby should be asked how many deaths are acceptable.

Mikus, my thoughts are the UK has tight gun controls and have virtually no mass shootings. The US should do the same. This paranoia about stopping the modern us state taking over is frankly ridiculous. What next RPGs on sale to the public?? The only reason I think they don’t is money and probably bribes.

Agree entirely Goat. It was always going to be a hard task replacing Gerrard but Henderson isn’t fit to lace his boots imo. He reminds me of Javi Garcia we had playing for us a couple of seasons ago, nice lad but just offers so little to the team. Without doubt Milner would do a much better job in that position. Strange one by Klopp making him captain.

Ed with regards to Nil I think most on here know what he’s like, its just a rollercoaster with him at times but generally he’s a good lad and a good poster. We are all defensive about our clubs at times. If you read this nil sorry I don’t mean to be condescending.

With regards to Pep. If I’m honest I had misgivings last season when all we had was plan A even when plan A wasn’t working. Now it seems to work nearly all the time. Sure we are going to come unstuck at some point. On a side issue I would love to see young Foden get some game time this season, shame he wasn’t on the bench today. I think he deserves a place ahead of Yaya.

Nil, believe me my club is well and truly loved. Careful what I wish for? Well 10 years ago not in my wildest dreams did i think I would be seeing us competing at the top table in football and I could not wish for anything better. Your bitterness and pure jealousy is frankly ridiculous, if only you had to follow your club through a relegation or two then you might understand what following your club through thick and thin means! Definitely nailed on pen Goat. Happened right in front of us. Couldn’t believe the rather pathetic protests from the Arsenal players to be honest. Looked at it again tonight and it was 100% the right decision.

Haha that’s nice to know nine. You can imagine the pleasure the lads are giving me and every other City fan. You dont hear much moaning from home fans at the Etihad these days. I didn’t think We were at our best today but still had enough to see off Arsenal which when I think about it is pretty amazing. Its not just Peps passing style of play but i beleive he has improved virtually every aspect of our game. Staminar, chasing and pressing the opposition, finishing of the forwards and the positional play of the defenders. Its really clever stuff and I don’t know how long we can keep this up as it’s a long season but I will enjoy it whole it lasts that’s for sure. Jim

Not a bad day at the office, arsenal were better than I expected, they got in our faces and got us rattled. Aside from Ozil who seemed to completely disappear after about 35mins. Anyone know where he went because I didn’t notice him on the pitch. Thought the Sterling Pen was stone wall. But even in the ground I thought Silva was offside for the third. But hey it gives Wenger something to moan about so even better lol;-) Didnt think we were at our clinical best today but still three points and with Chelsea winning thats a great result.
Ps wouldn’t worry too much about Nil nine. You know what he is like more emotional ups and downs than a hoares drawers lol. Only last week he hated us lot and you guys so wanting you to lose 4-0 is fine lol. I would like to add I think his heart is in the right place. Most of the time ?

Great win. Arsenal had us rattled at times and pressed well. Not sure why Giroud didn’t start?? But we should have been at least 2 up in the first half. Thought that Silva was offside for the third but that the foul on Sterling was a stonewall penalty. Sterling and Sane have played better this season. Didn’t quite click for City today bit still three goals and three points. Happy days.

So Koeman has gone, Rafa has secured his job for the time being and seems reasonably happy. But Bilic is surely next to go. I find it a bit odd that moyes is being linked to that job, I would have thought West Ham were a bit more ambitious than that. They got rid of Alerdyce because he wasnt adventurous, moyes is in the same mold surely.
