Fair enough I am biased and I can lose my cool over a silly football forum.
Sometimes I feel my life revolves arround 11 blokes I am unlikely to ever meet let alone share a drink over. Thats just me im affraid warts and all.Adlab despite having somewhat different views to many on here never loses his cool and never insults anybody. Sean you are the one who often reminds us that it’s only a football forum. But Adlab posts his opinion on a topic yesterday and you lose it completely despite it only being a football forum and you clearly being a saint and above all this!
My point is isn’t there just a tad of double standards there?

I’m not uptight Sean. I just see the obvious irony in you telling me im a grown man and shouldn’t have any club bias like you and then you refusing to read or accept that others aside from City fans beleive that there is a media agenda agaisnt Sterling which isn’t football led!
Finally perhaps you should practice what you preach stay cool and quit the digs!

So you agree there is an agenda then Sean. My point is Sterling is on the end of a media led agenda, which is separate from his football. I don’t believe it’s to do with Racism like Ian Wright thinks, we I hope it’s not. I beleive it was originally drummed up by ex liverpool players and the many biased liverpool pundits who pilloried him for leaving liverpool. The media just jumped on to the bandwagon and made him a target. Now you can call that bias if you want but if you accept that there is a media agenda then it is reasonable to theorise as to why there is one?
But clearly if we wernt biased this forum would be pretty dull. I remember discussing with you why City fans dislike Milner you were baffled as to why. But the reasons are obvious to us. The same as why Liverpool fans dislike Sterling but we don’t really see it. Although I might add Sterling’s actions resulted in a big transfer fee for Liverpool where as Milners mercenary actions only resulted in a big signing on fee for himself.
With regards to the tackles yes I did say that initially i thought there was an agenda but I beleive I did retract that belief and clarified that I thought some refs were being subconsciously lenient on the opposing teams with either letting the players off or just dishing out yellow cards as a way of possibly evening out the games. I still sort of beleive that, as we were on the end of so many really really poor tackles which the ref choose to either ignore or book with a caution meaning no further action could be taken. We also got denied several stonewall pens and had players sent off for nothing. But hey ho.

No dispute with that Sean, i would add that if I were Sterling I would bin England, As clearly he’s not rated or liked by the majority of fans like you.
But back on topic you said that there wasn’t a media agenda against sterling. I believe there is and it isn’t related to football.
If you bothered to read the articles above you would see that its not kust City fans that think this. But hey ho beleive what you want.

Ed it’s not just because of his England performances that the media have a vendetta against Sterling. The last couple of years it’s been pretty much non stop negative stuff about all aspects of his life. And the last few months some more balanced elements of the media and pundits have cottoned on to this vendetta.

If Sterling did decide to hang up his boots for England the majority of England fans would be pleased. Much of the media hates him and most fans think he isn’t good enough to play. Can’t have it both ways lads.

Plenty of hate from the media against sterling, some of them have had a vendetta agaisnt him since he had the temerity to further his career and leave LFC. This campaign has stirred up the fan hate. That aside his performances haven’t been great.

I hope Stirling doesnt bother with England anymore, the amount of hate he gets off the media and fans. Who could blame him if he retired. He should stick to winning stuff with City. Scholes retired for far less of a reason.

Little bit surprised that City agreed to play the game on the Monday after an American football game and just before a league cup game. Wonder what the pitch will be like? Lol. I agree pax, the only people it really affects are those fans Spurs and City that were are going to the game. I am not one of them. I would be a little cheesed off if I had paid for train tickets and hotel for the weekend and now could not go. I think Spurs should pay any fan City or Spurs compensation if the fan can prove that was the case. Monday night is a harder trip obviously. But as always the fans are the last people to be considered by any club. First game of the season my Season card didn’t work my daughter’s did. It took me and thousands of other blues an hour to get in the stadium. I missed welcoming the team onto the pitch and the first 24mins of the game. No one on the day cared at all no one came out to explain or apologise. Bit different I suspect if I had been a hospitality fan. Since then I have had a phone call and an apology after I emailed City. Such is life
