Agree entirely about Ederson goat. His footwork and distribution is astonishing. A half volley sideways pass to walker with pin point accuracy had people mouths open aghast vs Spurs.

All I would like to add to this debate is. Great sides are judged on their success and this side havent won anything as yet. However as a caveat you could say and many pundits have ! The style of football they are playing is more exciting and attacking than anything that has been seen before in the PL. That’s what people are confusing the issue with. Jim

Personally I think it was a good thread. I also think that its good for the forum to have a few more United fans on the here. All this agreement is very nice but it doesn’t encourage alot of debate, a few slightly contentious threads will do! As long as the debate doesn’t get nasty and I’m sure the Ed will keep it that way. I think the question is a moot point. It does not bother me whether CM thinks United sides of years gone by are better. Hes a united fan and obviously not happy with being totally outplayed at old trafford then hanging on to second place by scraping past bournmouth and west brom with the benefit of some luck and some fortuitous decisions all while playing some really negative football. All I know is that I am really enjoying watching this City side and they are breaking a few records. Many pundits are saying this is the best side they have seen in the PL so we must be doing something right. Cheers Jim

For Salah to stay at Liverpool for a long time, Liverpool first need to keep Coutiniho imo. If they continue to sell their best players, others will follow and that will include Salah.

Surrey and Fred it’s great to hear such stories about Bell. Sadly before my time but its no coincidence that it’s been said many times and people still recall great games he had nearly 50 years ago! To show that much drive passion and determination in a game is as very rear thing. When KDB scored yesterday he made 21 with his fingers in tribute presumably to David Silva. Let’s just hope that all is ok with David and his family.

I’m astonished that Wenger is still in charge at Arsenal. Surely it’s because he just makes them money. As long as he is still there it is good news for the other clubs competing at the top of the table as I just can’t see them ever winning the PL again under him.
