21st February 2018 at 7:20 pm in reply to: Champions League: "It's a Knockout" Stage (Goonies need not apply) #16199Jeeze people arguing over what counts as a chance and what isn’t. You couldn’t make this up lol. Calm down fellas you are all better than this.Β Pocession and chances count for bugger unless you put the ball in the net. Ala. Monday night. βΉ

Beni. Shouldn’t have bitten, but old habits die hard?. Had plenty of stick off the LPool and United Fan who work for us today which is fair enough, that’s the name of the game! ?Β Annoyingly you can’t see whether someone is annoyed or it’s just banter with text. But all is good. Sure last night was a disappointment but you have to put things in context as a City fan. These are times I truly never thought I would see. Cheers Jim thankfully we dont have any Wigan fans?

My guess is Alfie you came on the thread to get a reaction and you got a little banter back. No harm in that but best we leave it there. Cheers Jim.

Glad to see that a little bit of well deserved scratching with the others after the Fergusson years hasn’t turned you bitter! ?

Haha or the fan spitting at Aguero! How’s that fight for top four going these days? Do you think you will make it?

Eh up Alfie you here again!?Β While your here what about earlier in the season when Lukaku kicked that Brighton Player Bong in the bollocks off the ball or should I say on the ball!Β Now that certainly wasn’t a red was it lol.Β Completely different tackle if you ask me.? ?

That’s interesting Beni. You thought that Delphs was a definite red card last night yet if i recall you thought Manes flying boot to the face of Ederson wasnt. Yet both were accidental ? Slightly odd.Β FWI I thought Delph got the ball last night and tried to pull out of the follow through, his high boot didnt make contact with the Wigan player. Unlike the wigan lad earlier in the game who clearly left his boot deliberately high on Agueros knee after winning the ball and only gettingΒ yellow!Β But I accept he gave the Ref a decision to make and it was a reckless tackle and Alty Taylor couldn’t wait to overturn his original decision lol. But hey ho its all in the past. Doubt it would have made much difference anyway. We were shite last night. Wigan took their chance. We move on. As does the football. Personally I would like VAR to decide red card offences. But it wasn’t in use last night. Cheers Jim

First of all I thought we played poorly tonight.Β We never get the benefit of any decisions off Taylor, his family are all United fans but he strangely supports Altrincham.Β He pulled out a yellow wrote Delphs name down then changed his mindΒ ? lol. That said I think we had plenty of chances to score but just couldn’t find that last ball or shot,Β thought we could have played another 30mins and not scored.Β And then the inevitable mistake.Β Oh well still a visit to Wembley this weekend.? Just hope Danilo and Bravo arnt starting.Β ? StillΒ pretty gutted at that performance and result.Β Wigan took their chance so fair plays to them. I was one of thousands of City fans who stayed and clapped them on their win 5 years ago, they are turning into a bit of a bogey side for us. ?

Haha the Altrincham fan does it again. Weve been on the end of nine challenges the past three months all significantly worse than that and all awarded a yellow or not even a foul. The fact that Taylor wants us to lose aside weve been very sloppy all over the pitch.

I would go with GJs team. Then take off Aguero and KDB if we get a couple ahead.

Haha ed very good. Its strange how the majority in the game describe the pen today as Stonewall. When he could have chosen to stay on his feet. If he was a rugby player ball in hand 5 yards from the try line i somehow dont think his other leg would have just collapsed like it did. Clearly its not just Alli that does this. Ie making the most of it, I think 95% of players would do the same. But i do find it interesting that that is described as a stonewall pen. Sorry Alfie no he didnt arch his back and throw his hands in the air. He might have had some better acting classes that have taught him less is more effective?

Little dubious for me Pax. Sure there was contact but he was going over before the contact. His leg that wasnt touched just gave up haha. Thank god i dont have that problem otherwise i would be on the ground about six times going to and from a match. He could have stayed on his feet if he chose to is probably a better way of saying it.

Well played Rochdale. Spurs had to be rescued by a slightly dubious Alli penalty. Lol

Fat Bobby Madley. The biggest arse of a referee in football.
