Seems to me that ex liverpool pundits are expressing a little too much confidence lol. Sure we didnt want Liverpool in the this draw, but I would much rather play them than Barca, Real or Bayern. Over two legs we should beat them and these ex players probably know that. Hopefully Kompany will be fit to marshall our defence and I can’t see Ederson making similar mistakes as he did at Anfield last time as hes been superb this season. and not forgetting we hammered them at ours. Sure Mane got sent off but it was Liverpool’s defence and keeper that let in five goals. Anyway regardless of the above it should be a great couple of games. Let’s hope there are no contentious issues. City to win 5-3 on aggregate.

I see Broad has already questioned how they managed to get so much reverse swing this winter when the England bowlers got none. Cork has already called them out on it by saying questions need to be asked about the recent tour under the same ‘leadership team’. Shameful stuff. Premeditated ball tampering is blatant cheating and in many people’s book is the same as match fixing. Remember players have been jailed and had suspended for two three years for betting on no balls!

Hey Nine, so that’s how Cummins and Starc got the ball to move so much this Ashes tour! Blatant Cheats.

Wonder if the cheating Aussie barstards were doing it against us this winter.

Smith and Bancroft will both be sacked over this. Blatant premeditated cheating.

Yes Sean for me he is. Rarely has an average game let alone a poor one. A joy to watch.

Mak says it all imo. Coutiniho is a good player but you haven’t really missed him. We still miss Silva every time he doesnt play. Nil we got here as I have a different opinion to you. That’s it nothing more.

Yes without a doubt you should recognise one of the greatest midfield meastros in the PL in David Silva alongside Zola Gerrard and Lampard to grace the game. Coutinio just doesn’t rank alongside those players. Throw in a WC 2ECs 3 Pls A FA cup and 3 LCs and I think that even you the most blinkered of Liverpool fans would accept that David Silva is a cut above Coutiniho. Good player as he is Coutiniho was and still is far too inconsistent to rank amongst the very best imo and i think the stats back that up. Jim

In your dreams pal (nil). Coutiniho has never been in the same league as Silva. But deep down you know that. Jim

The only magician to grace the premiership is David Silva.

I doubt they could develop a more complicated league structure if they had wanted to. Sounds utterly ridiculous. Lol

20th March 2018 at 11:59 am in reply to: MΓΈlby pretty sure Liverpool will beat City in the CL #18473Well maybe Beni. I know I’m certainly tribal but happen to think we all are to a degree. Nine included. I don’t have any issue with him he’s a very good poster. We shall have to agree to dissagree on what we discussed about City’s finances. You are right though I haven’t changed much in my opinion of football finances as a whole. Perosnally I would still prefer a completely level playing field of transfers and wages. But realise that money talks and Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas. And until that happens I am going to enjoy the ride. Ps wasnt it Rodgers that went public with Sterling’s contract negotiations first. I thought his agent then advised and handled the discussions very poorly. But if he had changed his mind and stayed like Gerrard did after he spoke to Chelsea no doubt he would have quickly been forgiven and still be worshipped on Anfield Road. Just like Yaya was at City lol. Or perhaps like me you can forgive but not forget. Yaya has been a great servant to our club but he will never be seen the same in my eyes as Silva, Aguero or Kompany simply because of his agents antics sadly. Cheers Jim. As for tribalism doesn’t it make forums like this? We can’t all be patting each other on the back saying well done I’m in total agreement. I try and say things I would say mates who support other clubs and no more, whether that’s Liverpool, United, Stoke or Newcastle I don’t have any mates who support Chelsea! Perhaps it shows ? Jim

20th March 2018 at 7:18 am in reply to: MΓΈlby pretty sure Liverpool will beat City in the CL #18461Mak.heres one for you. I suggest that what really riles Liverpool fans and pundits was that Sterling and his agent saw City as a step up from Liverpool and more or less said so. If he said the same things when linked with Madrid or Barca I doubt somehow whether he would have received the vitiol he did and still does. Just my tribal opinion. Jim

20th March 2018 at 7:13 am in reply to: MΓΈlby pretty sure Liverpool will beat City in the CL #18460Maybe I was a tad strong with my piss on your bonfire comment. But clearly nine was trying to point out that City make no profit and will have to operate within the new rules and his club although no different somehow are different! A mantra he comes out with all the time. And its just me being socalled tribal ? When we all are imo. Cheers Jim
