Back on track. No doubt in my mind that Mouriniho will have a meltdown and wrangle a move to PSG nine. I just thought that something had started to trigger that meltdown off that I had missed.

Haha Hightown, it was a little retort to Beni after his post about Raheem. I know you guys hate Sterling because he left you for us and his agent is a cock. I was just pointing out that if Sterling is holding back City then what is Firminiho doing for LFC as last season Sterling stats in the PL were better than Firminihos. With Sterling playing last season we only managed to break seven records. But yes it was a little tongue in cheek. But Beni is probably right he’s not key to how to City play as we scored and created from all over the pitch. Take out his goals or assists and we would probably still have come top. That wasn’t meant to sound arrogant by the way. It’s just that the team Pep has created means we are not reliant on one or even two players. I supose the question I should ask is how much better (goals and assist) do you guys think Firminiho is than Sterling if he was playing for City. ? Cheers Jim

That is my point guys, I thought LFC made more progress under Rafa. Which team is better is obvious to me, Rafas team got the tshirt in all but the PL, but just came up a bit short against Fergussons united. Klopps team only has potential so far. I also think Klopps deficiencies have gone under the radar somewhat due to his carisma. Even when he occasionally loses it on the touchline he doesnt get the bad press mouriniho would and does get. Its hard not to like Klopp conversley it’s hard not to dislike Mouriniho with his antics in recent times. Anyway good debate fellas.

No dig at all at Rafa so wind your neck in Mak. Sean just justified my response to nine. Rafa was far more successful and LFC showed much more progress under him than you have to date under Klopp.

Srd, with mendy missing 90% of the season it will like having two new signings. Plus I think the young players like Sane, Stones and Sterling will get even better.

Mak sounds like you are turning into Arsenal and celebrating that 4th place. Also sounds like you think Klopp doesn’t have to win anything next season as long as he gets that 4th spot? What about the season after? Do you agree with nines statement that Liverpool have made more progress under Klopp the last three seasons than at any point in the last 30years?

Nine, LFC have certainly backed Klopp massively but is that progress that can be put down to Klopp? How do you judge progress, surley it is based on winning things and getting more points. You cannot dispute that LFC have been more sucessfull many times in the past 30 years than they have under klopp. Sorry but you do appear to have been swept up in the hype surrounding him. I suspect there is a more than even chance that he will be shown the door if he doesnt win something next season after 4 years in charge. I am right in thinking the last thing he won was in 2012? I also doubt Mouriniho will be at United at the end of the sesson for exactly that reason.

What do people think of Maureen reportedly saying Martial can leave but not to a PL club? Surely he isn’t worried that the player might fulfil his promise under another PL manager and show him up? ? sorry Maureen but Pogba and Lukaku have already done that with their performances in the WC.

It wasnt a wind up Mak and I will explain why I said it. Klopp seems a bit naive at times, you lost or just drew games you should have won last season. It seemed every Liverpool fan knew you needed a keeper desperately but he didn’t buy one and that arguably cost you CL sucess. Plus his track record in finals isn’t great is it? Sure you beat us three times but they actually counted for nothing. Nine says you have made great progress more so than at any time in the last 30 years? But last season you ended up with a point less than you did the season before and under Rodgers you came second with what 10more points than last season. In fact you have won everything there is to win in that 30 years aside from the PL but you have come second in the PL several times. So I have no idea why nine thinks this is your time of biggest progress finishing 4th and winning nothing again!? There is alot of hype round Klopp, only yesterday my youngest said he looked like a movie star watching him on Sky sports. He’s a nice guy full of charisma and he plays attractive football. I think people get swept up in that hype including nine obviously!? Cheers Jim

Mav, so you think Aguero should move from the best and most competitive league in the world to a two horse race in la liga. The only thing that he has missed out on is the champions league. He’s achieved everything else and is paid a fortune to play arguably under the best manager in the world. I kind of understand what you are saying but im not quite sure how going to an easier league is a actually step up?

The thing is I suspect Klopp knows that this season he has to go all out and win the PL. As if he doesnt next season Salah will probably want off to Madrid or Barca? That said I still think the weakest link in this liverpool side is Klopp himself, the fans love him more for his charisma than his achievements.
