Nil – I know we had a couple drop out etc but very interesting to see the difference between Southgate and his assistant one game on.

Grealish wasn’t even in the euro squad and Gordon didn’t start a match (I think) and ended up umpteenth choice.

Sean – agree mate. Can’t believe Ivan Toney went. Far too young, massive money but surely he would get similar on a free next summer.

Be great for those like Casemiro etc but can’t see why young players would go (other than money).

The thing with Hojlund is that if the main striker doesn’t get the goals ETH can have no complaints, he has has two seasons to bed Hojlund in and he now has also brought Zirkzee. So, to me, it’s not really if Hojlund gets them or not, ETH has had plenty of time and money to sort it.

Shaw is class, and that is our issue. Do you really replace him when we have so many other areas to improve? Fair enough you can say ETH should be more ruthless, but that only really rings true if you don’t bring in 4-5 first team players in one window. If someone else comes in and brings in, say three big signings I would expect Shaw to be replaced – especially if he carries on with his injuries as he is going.

Martinez – all about opinions mate. He can be shit and our best CB! Though fans like his style and the fact he gets stuck in. I think he will settle down this season as it goes on. He plays quite a high line, as he is always having a dig at the forward so he likes to play on the front foot and that always goes down well with fans.

I think the issue surrounding Utd now is that a lot of people will say they are complete rubbish, and the criticism seems over the top. They are clearly not great, but on their day they can beat the best teams in the PL. They have also won more when being terrible than most over teams have in their best periods for years. I think the fact we have wone more than most recently really grates on some, and so they go over board on the negatives.

We’ll be lucky to finish top four, but I’d be disappointed to to improve on last season’s position. But a lot depends on ETH. Will he drop Rashford (Garnacho and Amad must start on the wings, or even Mount if fit), and then will he play two in front of the back four for a while until we get a few results. If he continues to pick Rashford then we really have no chance as it just shows everyone that you can stay in the team based on salary and not performances – so why would anyone make the effort?

We need to be clinical, nit just in finishing but we also need to be more clinical in creating chances when the opportunity arrives. We started really well on Sunday, just completely fell apart imo. But if we can play like we did for the first 15-20 mins all game then I would be happy.

One thing is for sure, when Shaw and Holjund are back after the international break, and Ugarte available, if things don’t improve he will be gone. The run of games should not be beyond them and it will only be Yoro and Mount out injured.

Started well, then gave up. Again. Then capitulated. Again.

Only so many times you can say, regroup, wait for x or y to come back in and go again.

No spirit there to work with.

Casemiro hooked for a young lad no one has heard of at HT, and rightly so, Ugarte will clearly come in but that’s a lot expected from him.

Huge game for us, players need to show some mental strength, to get anything out of the game. Need leadership too. Liverpool will have a lot of the ball and we will need to dig deep and work hard, stay organised and wait for chances. Need to be clinical – which we are not good at.

Can see Zirkzee in for Mount, hopefully Garnacho for Rashford. Though ten Hag may take the easy option and bring in Garnacho for Mount. I think a proper 9 will cause Liverpool more issues, especially someone of Zirkzee’s size.

Stopped oppo taking a quick free kick and kicked ball away, yellow all day long. Can allow players to act Locke that just because they have already been booked.

Refs just need to be consistent now as it’s not the first time it’s happened this season, but players have previously got away with it.

Title was always City’s, title race over already!

Better overall than last season, more control, better patterns in play, not so open in midfield, better press but still not creating and taking chances and still poor defensively. Need to improve on the left side, surely Garnacho will start and we need Shaw fit.

Unlucky with the two offside goals, especially the second.

Add in the fact they sold their captain to buy a player that they didn’t actually want to sign.

It’s like a footy computer game you leave open for an hour so you can have lunch only to find your little brother has taken the time to sell your best players and sign some random names in their place.
