Bellingham is some player, and is still only 20. Crazy. He got some great advice – go to a top team where you will play (Dortmund) rather than Utd where you wouldn’t have started in the first year. Can see him becoming a Madrid legend.
Maguire should have left in the summer. I know he is on big money which other teams won’t match, but I always think it’s a mistake to see the contract out rather than take a paycut. Top player at Leicester, and will boss a defence who sit back and clear their lines. Struggles with a high line and is often made the scapegoat.
Kane took his chance really well, natural finisher.

Onana should play right back when we need a goal!
I agree Ed, I’d rather not have to rely on Højlund, but he is part of the squad and (on a 25 minute showing, looks far more of a threat than Martial, so he needs to start.
The ironic thing is, if we play him like we did Sancho in his first season the press would destroy him. Might as well play and get used to the PL.

Nil, I hope Utd start Hojlund going forward, looked sharp up top, pace and a physicality to him. Gave Gabriel a tough time and should have had a penalty when Gabriel took him out in the box. Promising cameo at the end. Rashford needs to stick on the left to be effective.

Micah Richards has to be high up on the list of pundits who are stealing a living.

Højlund looks very promising. Big, strong, quick and has a good touch. He was a proper handful for the Arsenal centre backs.
Gutting to lose, thought we deserved at least a point.
Need Armabat in midfield for some energy.

Absolute garbage Adlab as that decision has just proved.

Not sure that offside law is new Adlab, been there donkey’s years. Offside in all of them!
VAR is more of a farce this year than ever before. Offside was the one thing we were told VAR would get correct.
They need to re-ref the incidents rather than this clear and obvious mistake idea which leads to mass inconsistency. They are brave enough in rugby to let the TMO re-ref incidents, football should toughen up and stop being to sensitive to accepting referees are human and make mistakes.

Where’s bluemoon? Last week he was complaining that big teams get all of the decisions when losing, well one team, and this week his team score a clearly offside goal five mins into injury time in the first half, after being being held.
Not a peep from him! 👀 😂😂😂🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

Adlab, you are wrong to say other teams haven’t invested in their academies. You point to Spurs, which is ignorant of that fact that their academy is state of the art and the best in the world. Their training facilities, and stadium are world class, ahead of the field. They really are. Take your blinkers off mate and see things for what they are.
One of the main differences between City and other clubs, apart from the illegal payments, is that they also pay for private education for players. To some that is owner wealth, to others it’s ‘investment’. Just depends on your point of view. One thing that most should be able to agree on is that none of that ‘investment’ would have occurred without owners of huge wealth.
Lots of teams pay kids’ parents to move to the local area so their kids can join the club, but nothing to the level of city. Maybe that’s the new normal, maybe it’s gone too far. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but don’t dress it up as if City are some sort of beacon of football. Brighton are doing a similar job, especially in the transfer market on a much smaller budget for example, let’s use them as the way forward.

City are the current kings of the transfer market, no doubt about that. However they mo have the advantage of unlimited owner money to start with, which enabled them to replace any mistakes quickly as they didn’t need to offload before they can buy, and still don’t.
Not many clubs can do that, and are hampered with having to offload before they can buy.
It’s obviously slightly more complex than that, but that is a massive advantage in the transfer market.

It’s clearly wrong, and he is rightly getting stick for it.
I think what he meant was that as there were scuffles and arguments on the sidelines between the two benches, he would save his mate from the agro of going to the monitor to review a decision and, in the process, get stick from the benches.
Shouldn’t happen whatever he means, but that is Mike Dean for you. Never saw why people rated him.

Bruno was clear through on goal and taken out in the D. Clear red card and absolute drivel from bluemoon.
We looked on top throughout the game, even at two up they only made 5 passes! But that’s the sort of game we could have struggled to get back in to. Should have scored a hatful.

I am certainly not suggesting he is correct, but swissramble, a very respected football finance blogger, is saying that he expects a record FFP breach for Chelsea next season.

Sean – just looking at the Partey case, it is different in that he has only been arrested so far, I think not currently charged.
So he is ‘out’ on bail at the moment.
But there are three separate claims of rape made against him.

WRT Partey, three different women have accused him of rape. Police are still investigating.

Richard Arnold released a statement which included:
“We were provided with alternative explanations for the audio recording, which was a short excerpt from a much longer recording, and for the images posted online.”
Not clear, but I guess they couldn’t prove the story which they were given was not true.
