Apparently they want a shared job and one has to be female. They asked Mark Chapman who was interested until they told him it would be shared.

Yep, I think he is Threeps. I mentioned a couple of days ago that I thought it could have been a blackmail attempt, and this just adds to that.

Of course the two videos might not be linked, as I think the second one might have been a newspaper scoop and they were waiting on something to trigger their ability to release it. Papers work in the most underhand of ways.

Yes, only natural Nil. I would do myself, but the gist of it is that he thought Klopp was an arse (albeit the c word). Without wishing to upset anyone, he wouldn’t be alone there.

He can’t think much more on a few other PL managers either.

Not corruption, he just doesn’t like Klopp. He didn’t give Villa two pens last weekend, so it’s not that he gives everything against Liverpool.

It’s one one those which is better unsaid, and I can see it ending his career, but he is allowed an opinion on Klopp. I bet you wouldn’t be able to find a ref who didn’t feel the same about Fergie back in the days.

If managers are going to dig out refs they can’t expect the ref to like them.

Have to ask why it’s been leaked now, he is stupid for saying that to a camera phone and I do wonder if he has been blackmailed over it. Stupid man, poor referee but if you had to find referees who likes both PL managers before the match could be played they’d be very few matches played each week.

Yes Sean, just seen the Gary Cotterill questioning, very strange. Seems like he wanted to get a reaction.

Oh, he is a good manager Nil, no doubt about it. Just that our players are a disgrace. They won’t change.

I doubt much will change with us Nil, the players are a disgrace and won’t work as hard as the sporting players. They really do work for the team and not themselves. We are the polar opposite.

Ed, you could see the ref wave it away and pointing to his arm at the time, so what did he see differently on the monitor?

Rather quiet from the commentators when de bruyne takes the sporting player on the knee and lands on his foot. Unlike on Sunday.

Not suggesting our players aren’t shit, but look how much better defenders go to shit when players run at them.

Amorim has been β€˜pragmatic’ at times with 5 at the back and 4 a yard in front, but when they break city can’t cope at all.

Pen all day long, poor game overall but we had plenty of chances to score another. Lacked the intensity from midweek.

Yes, I am starting to take that stance too. They will bully the PL into dropping the case. They will make it so expensive that the PL won’t be able to proceed as clubs will get too nervous with the rising costs and ask to drop the case.

Ed, I think he likes someone who can run with the ball and take players in there. Bruno isn’t known for that, Garnacho, Rashford and Amad all can. So I think at least one of those will play there. Then it’s either another dribbler or someone to run past Hojlund.

Cannot see Bruno in CM, so it’s a case of who to leave out for me. But I am not an expert on his tactics and it does depend on what article you read about him.

Bruno will be one of the front three, depending on who you believe he plays a striker, winger and midfielder to run behind in the front three, so I would guess Garnacho, Hojlund and Bruno up top. Mainoo and Ugarte in midfield. Yoro, Martinez and De Ligt as the back three.

Mount can be Bruno’s understudy or sold at a great loss.

Rashford may be out of luck, but can play anywhere in the front three so that will be interesting. Be interesting who he plays on the left when Shaw is injured. Might be Harry Amass, could be a winger hopefully not a right footed fullback as that won’t work. Might be a loan brought in January.

I’d be delighted with Amorim, he has turned Sporting around and built a great team there (in fact, due to the players they end up selling each summer he has built a great team each season there). There is a worry about bringing in a Xavi or a Zidane in that they have inherited teams. We need a manager who can build something.

I think Amorim would lift the club’s mood, it’s a positive feeling now and that can only be good. Whether he is good enough will be seen in the next few years. ETH started clearing out the deadwood and Amorim needs to finish that. Lindelof should leave on a free at the end of the season, Anthony should be shipped out to whoever takes him, same for Rashford. Maguire should move on. See if he can fit Zirkzee, Mount etc in the squad and bring in players to compliment his formation.

No manager would really fit the bill, but there is a feeling of positivity around the club now ETH has gone and we need to build on that.

The chalk and cheese performance from last night makes me think the players downed tools for ETH. Yes there was some luck last night but the pressing was so much improved, as was the tempo and passing. ETH said he wanted a high intensity, high press style and couldn’t get the players to implement it, yet RVN managed that first game. I really can’t believe ETH was asking the players to not press and play with zero intensity, so I have to conclude they didn’t try for him.

Amorim is a gamble, as all appointments are but it seems a very positive gamble to me.
