How long have we been discussing VAR? The fact that we do suggests it isn’t working. They are quick enough if a toe is offside but no action on a stonewall penalty. Could it be a fear of bad marks?
ONE game gone and its yet again a major talking point. To me it proves that it isn’t working.

Going back to the Brighton game and it didn’t effect the result but how did VAR not ask the ref to have a look at the possible penalty.
Forget which teams were playing etc but I don’t blame the ref but there is no doubt that it was a clear and obvious error. At least look at it.
Players, managers and fans must despair at such a call. Imagine if it was crucial to the game and Brighton only drew or whoever.
As above Rodri handball, Kate foul etc. These so obvious ones should be picked up. I fear the worst for the season.

Just watched the Utd game highlights. How was the foul on Welbeck not a penalty?
The ref could miss it because of a bad position but how on earth did VAR not ask the referee to look at it.

Nike the left back area is a weakness and I do believe we will sign someone. City were not prepared to pay £50m for Cucarella and walked away as they did with Maguire, Sanchez Fred and Mahrez first time (not bad decisions!!). Other clubs think unlike some we will pay anything. I think we have shown in recent years we will not. We aren’t doing much wrong I think.

Nike in the distant past the crowd was different

Thr players were different too. I remember going to one match catching the bid after school. On that bus..City player Neil Young. One of our key players

To go on from there. It is to a large extent the media who want a story. The bigger the fee the better the story then the club and the player can be shot down.

Mikus. I totally agree with your sentiments about fan expectations.
We are totally right not to pay £50m plus for Cucarella. Way over the top. We should look elsewhere. There are other good left backs about and not £50m.
