So far it’s a proper game and not a glorified friendly.
What do you think of Partey? Red card walking.
And a yellow for Arteta! What for,_____________________________

Every week when I go into Citizens Advice as volunteer mainly to deal with debts I see the cost of living crisis first hand. Pre pandemic the average debts I was dealing with to help people was about Β£8k now its about Β£20k with many having trouble paying rent and mortgage.
We are issuing more food vouchers every week.
Then they go to Saudi Arabia for millions a year tax free. Its obscene
As much as I like football and my team, Β£500,000 to good causes makes me sick in the stomachSorry for the rant

Disappointed….
I have been reading that from today’s game ONLY about Β£500,000 goes to good causes and not the gate receipts.Wouldn’t it be nice if each player added just ONE days wages to that.
Can’t guess at how much but if we guess for all players an average Β£140,000 a week, say Β£20,000 a day for say 30 players that would double the donation.
Which one of us can’t or couldn’t give up 1 day’s wages. In today’s climate I find the amount for good causes very very disappointing.
Maybe it’s just me?_____________________________

Better midfield now for Liverpool. They should do much better if they reduce the long ball game and become less predictable
If we don’t win it again my money is on Liverpool.
Arsenal have something missing yet but maybe Rice might be the answer. I don’t know what to call it….guts? bottle? nerve? Don’t know. They are good enough They showed that last season but succumbed to pressure and there is the CL too this time.
Remember last season following the community shield Liverpool were going to do it…..For them it turned out to be a poor season. We were written off by the media on the following Monday.
Perhaps it will be about how well the changes for teams settle in. Some big changes and don’t forget Chelsea…major changes._____________________________

Watching the Harry Kane saga yet AGAIN, I have come to the conclusion that Daniel Levy is an egotistical fool and does not have Spurs best interests in the forefront.
Spurs are a big club, big support and a fantastic stadium.
What have they won with Levy? Nothing
How many managers have they had? Too many.
Kane is 30 and somebody offers Β£100m. He tries to be clever and doesn’t respond and goes off on holiday.

As per Merson! Is he correct?
When they played in the group stages in Europe last season, they played their strongest team. They started resting players in the knock-outs and went out straight away against Sporting Lisbon.βTheyβve brought in players now to strengthen the team. Very few people expected Arsenal to make it to the top four last season, but there are a lot of expectations from the team this season.
βA lot of players were unbelievable for Arsenal last season, and itβs a big ask for them to produce the same quality again.
βThis Community Shield match will be a bigger game for Arsenal than it will be for Man City. Iβm going to back Arsenal to win this game, 2-1.β

Do you remember last year’s match that Liverpool won?
Haaland was no good as he missed an easy chance
Nunez was a world beater and would score more than Haaland
City would struggle to retain their title………So much for pundits and newspapers!!!
We did OK I think π€

Could Manchester United signing Rasmus Hojlund be as good as Erling Haaland?
Per Sky Sports. Bog build up for the guy.

I still think VVD is a top player but not so sure about the defenders around him. Is Robertson still as good? Is TAA actually a defender? Put VVD along side Dias, Akanje, Stones, Ake etc and he would look just as good as ever.
