I think teams should limit spending on thirty year olds. Paying astronomical salaries is also part of the transfer story. Again its too much. Not just because its Utd. Again some of that could go to season ticket holders?
On the basis of not paying this it equates to £346 for each of Utds 75000. Iknow this isnt like for like as they wouldnt have the player but pay £ 10 million,!!, ..thats £133 for each of the 75000 supporters.
Fees too big salaries stupid.? Supporters? Mugs

Just logged in and read the posts.
We all know FFP never seems to hit certain clubs and we all know which. There ought to be a debt:equity requirement – this might make owners think twice about spending money and increasing debt. They can say to selling clubs we just cant do it. To make this work though would require a more sophisticated look at company accounts and the football clubs holding companies. Owners would also be required to sign a declaration of full information as fit and proper persons – not signed by a puppet CEO or similar.

I also think limiting the net spend makes sense. (100m seems the right sort of figure. Any more than that, an equivalent amount to reduce seàson ticket prices.

But.. FIFA, UEFA, EPL, would never agree!

Nonsense figures. The only ones spending at this level are the desparate buyers. Last season we were desparate for fullbacks and so had to pay. This season? Very little.
Mourinho? Who knows. Utd need fullbacks and central defenders.
Klopp? Needs some silverware. So far a failure. So mega spending. Liked my the media as usual.
Spurs? God knows! Seems to me they just sell!
Arsenal? Cant tell.
Chelsea. A mega spend coming

One player can be important but he could get injured or lose form. The strong squad is the key.
Although not directly related City have gone on their pre-season tour – although some may join towatds the end – WITHOUT:

ie basically most of the first team.

The point I am making is it is never about one player however good. Hazard ..great player but not the team. If a player doesnt want to play there will be somebody else.

£200m plus. Remember they got big money for the little Brazilian.
Good luck if it comes off. We spent €40m on Ederson with lots of tutting in the press. If you need a player AND can afford it its the game. We dont NEED anything further. Mahrez is an additional luxury -a top player. Perhaps we will need an extra holding midfielder but we dont NEED one now.
Lets see what happens!
