Just read Carraghers article in regards to Pep would have won the league title with this current Manchester United.
I somewhat have to disagree. He makes some good points, but the level of work that needed doing at United compared to City, it would taken Pep years to get United to level he wanted them to. If you compare the players Pep had when he took over, Fernandinho, Sterling, Aguero, De Bruyne, Kompany Silva to the United side when Jose took over ageing Carrick, Fellaini, past his prime Rooney, Smalling, Herrera, Rashford, Martial and Lingard. City were miles ahead in terms of quality.
Pep in my opinion just made life a bit easier for himself, it took him a while to adjust to the PL, but he knew he had the core of players to do that already. City best players this season are players who were already at City before he arrived in Silva, Sterling and De Bruyne. Pep has taken them to the next level, but you cannot remove the fact they were brilliant or had the potential to be quality(Sterling) before he arrived.
This current United side, has some quality, but is way short of winning the league or challenging for the league title.

9th January 2018 at 2:01 pm #11784Probably not, but he would have played more entertaining football and he wouldn’t have alienated the Press, his own supporters and the football watching public.
And he wouldnt have been so far behind City!

9th January 2018 at 2:41 pm #11799I don’t know, United could end up winning the FA Cup and Champions league, hopefully the almighty answers my prays, City will capitulate, with United winning the treble.
