World Farce 2022: The Dates Are In!!!

So, it’s official, the dates are in for the shortest World Cup since 1978 when there were only 16 teams in it compared to the 32 teams scheduled for 2022.

It begins on November 21st and finishes on December 18th, 28 days from start to finish. Worth noting the Prem has already announced they’ll be starting up the season on Boxing Day…

I wonder how many international breaks they can squeeze in during the first half of the season!?!?

This World Cup already has the smell of being a complete stinker and will continue to do so until it’s finished.

No surprises really the problem is selecting Qatar as a venue led us to this.

The PL will likely stop early November and re start on Boxing Day. It’s going to be a challenge for everyone.

The season is going to be open one week earlier, and finish one week later, but there will be a few more mid-week Prem games going on that year I’m thinking, a few more Friday/Monday night games too…

Could it be the season that kills the golden goose (not Lucy, the other one!)? It just sounds like too much football, even for me, and that’s before the chaos that will occur during the World Cup…

that and the fact many clubs will struggle, injurioes, fatigue, the extra game sin short times, less time to preparte and then throw in European cups and before you know it …Everton have wont he PL!

oh dear, theres a thought!, if pool choke this season and they went and did that…..

Is there some sort of a correlation between the amount of money pumped in with the increase and evolution of competition in our Top Flight, plus have much we have improved in Europe against the ‘wow’ factor not quite there when it comes to Internationals?

I must admit from an LFC point of view, we’re in the best place we have been for a long-time, and just want to keep hold of that and see Internationals in selfishness and an interference than something of a gripping interest.
