Maguire had a decent game yesterday but Taremi still went past him as if he wasn’t there for his goal which is worrying for the tougher games to come.

Not sure what the solution is, going forwards is Dier a better bet?

I wouldn’t have started Maguire but I thought he came in and did really well. His distribution was very good and he has a great relationship with Stones. All of him, Dier and Stones have a mistake in them so I’d be tempted to stick with what is working and not change anything at CB. Maguire has been one of Southgate’s most consistent performers in fairness to him. He’s also the biggest goal threat out of them at the other side, almost scoring yesterday with another header.
