25th August 2018 at 3:18 pm #25771Not enough on Dave for a Pen for me and Aguero probably was a Pen but catching his trailing leg with a slight contact is a hard for a ref to see imo. We had our chances but just didn’t take them.

25th August 2018 at 3:39 pm #25772Difficult place to go earrly in the season and Wolves are a decent side. It might be two points dropped or it might be one point won.
Had City taken their chances they would have won but Wolves were good on the break. I don’t think anyone will get an easy game at Molineux.

25th August 2018 at 7:23 pm #25780What did those that watched the game on here think of Gundogwan’s performance today?

25th August 2018 at 7:38 pm #25781Lets look at the reality.
Wolves played well we were not at our best.
Wolves scored a goal which was offside and handball
We had a good shout for a penalty. Foul on Aguero. Not given.
We hit the woodwork three times.
Mendy is suspect in defence but good going forward
Walker was not as good as usual.
Sane was right off apart from one run.
As usual nothing from Atkinson
Kompany a very average game.
Laporte gets better
DisappointingPS the pundits and reporters dont think an offside and handball goal matters

25th August 2018 at 9:57 pm #25788AnonymousI am afraid to say but Pep is selecting Kompany purely to keep the peace, the guy is a shadow of the player he was and from last season already. Never select players on sentiment.

26th August 2018 at 9:27 am #25791Moos interesting point about Kompany. I agree to an extent that kompany is held in such revenance by the club and fans that to a degree he escapes criticism. But even though injured alot the past few seasons many fans still think he organises our defence well. Not sure who was a fault for their hand ball goal yesterday , was it laporte ? To be honest I didnt take note.

26th August 2018 at 10:36 am #25792I thought Mendy looked a bit vulnerable yesterday defensively as did Kompany and Wolves had a number of quick players which stretched City on the break.
Would KDB have made a difference? I think he might have and it’s in these tight games where he might be missed most but City can’t do anything about that and they still have a great squad.
But a draw away at Wolves is not the end of the world and on a different day it could well have been a comfortable win and all of City’s challengers still have to go to Molineux and they won’t get an easy game there and that point at the end of the day might well prove to be a point won than two points lost.

26th August 2018 at 10:59 am #25793I agree nine. Combination of City not just clicking in a number of postions, Wolves playing very well in midfield and defence. City not finishing and a very lucky goal. It happens. Three games in is not the end of the world. I have no doubt we will improve vs Newcastle. Hope Foden at least gets on the bench and the untouchable Gundogwan sits on the bench.

26th August 2018 at 3:15 pm #25794Adlab.. I would have had the same opinion as you reality check. As to our play, it just did not happen because our two quck thinking magicians could not find a way, Silva and Bernano. I also think Sterling, although he had a good game did not fit with the sysytem…or was it the system that was wrong. Walker and mendy kept too busy but Mendy did get decent crosses in but he needs somebody in front of him….like Sane Walker had bernado/Silva
A point was fair to both sides, not complaing, we will have a few more lie this I feel_____________________________

26th August 2018 at 9:52 pm #25798City should have won, but the loss of KDB was really evident. My concern relates to Mendy, this chap cannot defend and was found out on a number of occasions and this pulled Laporte out of position this was clearly seen when Wolves brought on Traore. This will be seen as City’s Achilles heel by the better teams and exploited. Mendy should be a winger not a defender, his crosses are lethal, but his positional play as a fullback needs attention pronto.

28th August 2018 at 3:03 pm #25909Mendy will find his feet but he does need somebody in front of him who can switch to being behind when he goes forward..so we need Sane or Sterling, the latter is the better on defensive duties but I think he will improve defensively as well..give him a little time, this is his first season really
