11th January 2019 at 8:09 pm #31205Chelsea confirm Cesc Fabregas’s departure to Monaco, I suspect Chelsea will announce a replacement signing shortly.
Lovely farewell video from Cesc to the fans.
Thanks for the memories Cesc seeing you play up close and in the flesh in a Chelsea shirt at the Bridge was always a privilege.

14th January 2019 at 2:15 pm #31309I agree with you Ed Chelsea have first option with their buy back clause and it looks like Luiz and Cahill will be gone but Ake has to agree to come back too. Personally I would like to see him back at Chelsea.

14th January 2019 at 2:39 pm #31315I actually think 50m for Ake would look like a bargain within a year or so. The others, I’m not so sure.

17th January 2019 at 8:38 am #31476AnonymousI think he’s match fit, so I wonder if it can be done in time for the weekend? The board don’t seem to want him but if anyone knows whether he’s a good signing or not, it’s Sarri. They need to sit back and trust him. This is the same board that shipped out Matic from under Conte. That was the beginning of the end there on the pitch and off it too.

17th January 2019 at 8:44 am #31477AnonymousHiguain to Chelsea. Hudson-Odoi to Munich, good to see it was Jose who was single handily to blame for the lack of youth players coming through at Chelsea. I can only imagine the vitriol had something similar occurred at Man Utd.

17th January 2019 at 9:06 am #31481Come on Alfie Chelsea are trying to fend Bayern off nobody wants CHI to go but with only 18 months left on his contract if he refuses to sign a new one it leaves the Club in a difficult place. And there’s been a bucket load of criticism aimed at Sarri and the Club from all quarters over it.

17th January 2019 at 9:08 am #31482Getting closer Sean and I think the loan deal with the option to extend is the sensible way given all factors.
Plus Higuain is able to play in the EL as UEFA have scrapped the Cup tied rule from this season so he will be ok to play for us in that competition which still might be our best route back into the CL.
Still a bit to go with this one yet it seems with Milan needing a replacement but it does now look likely.

17th January 2019 at 9:46 am #31487Anonymous9, it’s not really about whether Chelsea want him to leave or not. If that was Jose at Utd he would be getting pelters from the press and people on here.
I recall Chelsea fans telling us that Rashford should join Chelsea as he wouldn’t play under Jose and how Conte picks youth. Rashford ended up the most picked outfield player and Chelsea still haven’t managed to pick a youth player regularly.

17th January 2019 at 10:17 am #31489Alfie, I agree Mourinho was a targete when he was at United and I can understand Chelsea fans being keen on Rashford but I don’t know where Conte playing youth came from although Christensen became a regular under him.
It’s a difficult balancing act for Managers competing for trophies and bringing through Youth players and as I’ve often said before United have always been best at it. I would liken the CHO situation to the original Pogba situation at United and I think CHO should be a little bit more patient.
Believe me Sarri has being get lots of pelters on the Chelsea site over CHO and the media have been critical of him over it too.
I still live in hope that CHO will stay at the Club that’s developed him from aged 8.
