What I would say positively above all is that I’m glad to see the interest of young blood. The problem I have which I’ve made a point of already is the disappointment of not seeing essentially that would equate to decades, enough or more of a Selection.
For example in England, more Footballers out of Retirement simply have shoehorned into ‘punditry’. Although ultimately their choice in life what they wish to do, that to me is Lazy option. I say this because some of the analysis at times is Expertise, so I think if they’re that ‘know it all’, then why don’t they go out and experience being a Manager themselves???
Fact Of Matter is that you need to be a certain Fabric to be able to cut the mustard.

10th November 2021 at 8:31 pm #188781Steven Gerrard RANGERS – 2020/21
32 6 Lost Nothing 102 Points
Rangers Title Winning Record.
We have known to perceive the level of the Scottish League as inferior, but then what would the ‘Pyramid’ be in relation to Career Progression?
Would it be a Position in the Championship or a club in the Top Flight?
Incredible in fact Stupendous for what was achieved, Unbeaten 102 Points. Never seen that with any Top Flight English Club in my Life. This was Never made a Fuss of at all with English Press as far as I’m aware.
Steven Gerrard Deserves an Honour.
Possibly and Potentially a good move at Villa to get his teeth into. What would the Terms be? Would this be his current Management and Backroom Team, or would he be amalgamating with John Terry and his Team?

10th November 2021 at 9:09 pm #188785AnonymousNine, I am worried about FSG’s level of ambition. They couldn’t convince Wijnaldum to stay, word is they’ve failed to get Salah to sign (hopefully that’s BS) and they are letting their star man in Edwards just walk. I think he’s leaving because he hasn’t had enough to do recently.
Covid is a reason for lower spending but I don’t believe that we’re as broke as others suggest. They didnt maintain the title winning side, when you have to if you want to stay at the top and they aren’t exactly scrambling to replace and improve.
I’m not going to start saying FSG out but they’ve got some ground to make up now and I think letting Edwards is go is going to be another step backwards for us. It’s clear that we’ve got to make a step forward, if we’re to really challenge for the title, we can’t afford to be conducting business in this manner.

11th November 2021 at 8:01 am #188793It was Scotland Nil in a two horse League and the other horse was lame.π
If Gerrard goes to Villa it wil! be because it will be a much bigger challenge than managing Rangers in the SPL.

11th November 2021 at 1:44 pm #188806I see quite a lot of pundits think the Scottish premier league is bottom Champuonship level, I think it’s about mid table championship level.

11th November 2021 at 2:25 pm #188807To be fair to Steven Gerrard he could only operate in the League that he was offered to work in and you can only beat what’s in front of you.
Taking everything into account Gerrard did a very good job at Rangers he deserves this chance he was a brilliant PL player we’re now about to find out whether he’s got the capabilities to be a brilliant PL Manager.
Villa won’t go down Gerrard will lift them up the table where he takes Villa from there will be very interesting I wish him well apart from when Villa play Chelsea of course.
December 11th.π

11th November 2021 at 2:57 pm #188811The best move for Frank imo but if he goes to Norwich he may need his Championship experience at Derby next season.

11th November 2021 at 3:31 pm #188812Norwich are going down. No idea why he is going there. Canβt see it working out
Canβt see Gerrard succeeding at villa. What can he actually achieve there that would be deemed a success? Top ten finish every season?

11th November 2021 at 3:35 pm #188813Be tough for him Sean no doubt about that but it will be a much bigger challenge than managing Rangers in a two Club League and he will need that if he is eventually to manage Liverpool.

11th November 2021 at 3:42 pm #188814Re Lampard Sean I always though he would be better going back to a top Championship side that’s probably what he’ll get at Norwich.
If appointed and in the unlikely event Frank can somehow manage to keep Norwich up that would be an improbable bonus.

11th November 2021 at 4:03 pm #188815AnonymousGerrard has much less pressurized job Villa have enough to stay up but the Norwich job is sure suicide even more difficult than Contes job. Better opportunities would have come for Lampard he should have waited.
