Agree Pagan. Has anyone heard a reason why they don’t use the screen? Only thing I heard is they are instructed not to as it might slow the game down too much. Pretty ironic saying some decisions have taken 3 minutes to decide without the screens!

they just need to make the lines thicker, have a grey line section, if any part is in they grey line they are on side…..boom, youre welcome

But that just moves the issue along as to whether it was in the grey area or not. Wouldn’t change anything. VAR i believe will always result in looking at minuscule deciding factors, doesn’t matter where the on/off line is or how thick.

no it wouldnt thats the idea, red line off side, green line on side and grey line (3 or 4 inches wide, if your in the grey your on side…easy peasy

Maybe it’s just me but I think Wengers idea is terrible. I would honestly prefer things as they are now and think it’s a step backwards, not forwards.

They really just need to offer some leeway. Attacker advantage for close calls and do away with the millimeter nonsense.

Agree Mak and I think the only way to do that is for the ref to look at the screen and decide. If he cant make his mind up within a short time then give the advantage to the attacker. Let’s get away from the high level precision method and inject some common sense back into the game.
