Merry Christmas one and all, I’m sure Santa will be busy delivering coal to each and every one you, the bunch of naughty scallywags and numpties that you all are!!
Matches all over the place over the next couple of weeks, no Top 6 match ups, but with plenty of squads feeling the pinch at the moment and managers up and down the country needing to rotate, plenty of scope for the odd upset here and there… although this season, I’m not to sure what constitutes an upset these days…
At least, as our favourite insect likes to mention, come Jan 5th, the table will be a good indicator for the rest of the season, those in the title race, those in the race for Europe, those in a race not to have to play Wrexham next year… (SKY is already getting a boner about that, I reckon!)
Time for the likes of Spuds, ManYoo and the Bone Saw Boyz to start putting a run together… even the Spammers aren’t completely “out-of-it” yet… at least the race for Europe!
Don’t fancy their title chances!

Looking forward to having our players back. Looks like Slot will demand discipline being restored at the back to run a tight ship. I’m not sure what’s happening with Robbo of late but we could have done without him being suspended. Gomez will play.
I can only see Maddison troubling us this Sunday along with Kulu and Son. Expect 4 goals at least!
Southampton first to think about. Definitely want us to retain the Carabao Cup this season. I think Chelsea will top the Xmas charts, we shall see π

‘Good’ Spuds showing up twice in a row is even rarer than ‘Good’ Spurs showing up at all… there will very likely be 4 goals but I would be surprised is Spuds scored more than 1 of them… π
As for the Saints, you and I could play in the Pool line up and Pool would still win… worst team I’ve seen for a very, very long time.

Nil, Robbo is only suspended for the league Cup game, will be back agajnst Spurs. Same as Slot. Wonder if there are any other first teamers that should have taken a yellow card suspension to run against Southampton?

We have dropped points but don’t want to get into the bracket of drawing too many games in succession. Game in hand is still in our favour, but until we really build a healthy lead playing really at our best, then expect bumps along the way.

I hear you Sean, but I still get a bit nervous about playing Spurs away because they are very attacking and I think they raise their game vs the top clubs. So I think these games suit Spurs down to the ground and therefore I don’t think Sunday’s game will be easy. I’d certainly be expecting quite a few goals again. Need to be tight defensively.

Ah ye mikuis anything can happen but spurs are missing their first 3 choice cbs and their keeper. We are only missing konate. Spurs are ravaged with injuries and this be a huge opportunity missed. They are very good going forward so we need to defend much better then recently . Kuliwaski v robbo is the concern. Its a difficult game but ill be very disappointed if we dont take advantage of their injuries
The concern is they start quickly and we started slowly. We have conceded the least goals but we are not that solid. 7 goals in conceded in last 4 games. We need to tighten up.

Fully Agree Sean, Mikus as both your thoughts correlate.
Spurs come out of the Traps; no nonsense and straight to the point. I really like them for that and that of being the most consistent in not only what they believe in to implement week in week out (even if ‘that plan’ goes pear-shaped!).
We do or have form for starting slow; that’s an understatement. SWITCHED ON-WAKE UP. I mentioned WE NEED TO BE READY right from the OFF.
Their Supporters this Sunday will be on FIRE. It’s Christmas Too.
Honestly, Liverpool could be in the first half 2 goals down IF we don’t bring our A Game to Tottenham.
