1-0 Chelsea. Sterling, looks like has brought his mojo.

1st January 2023 at 4:51 pm #202166Conte at Spurs was the wrong fit. Basically just another Mourinho appointment. Doesn’t necessarily mean he wouldn’t succeed elsewhere.

1st January 2023 at 5:09 pm #202167Underneath Arsenal, the 6/7 places look very interesting on the back of Newcastle, Man City and Spurs dropping points this weekend.
The fixtures will have to be faced coming thick and fast; adding to that, EL Cup, Fa Cup and Champions League. The examples in Liverpool and Chelsea shouldn’t lose belief at all in trying to catch the others at the top. Points will definitely be dropped and gained.

1st January 2023 at 5:20 pm #202168No, maybe so, Mikus. I definitely think he’s still capable of winning trophies. I’ve just seen nothing at all during his time with Spurs to change my mind about the fact he would have been another disastrous appointment for us. Not suggesting we’ve definitely got it right, mind, in who we did appoint. Very early days still.

1st January 2023 at 6:24 pm #202169Deserved point.
These guys really graft for each other throughout 90 mins and show commitment; especially against the biggest teams as they don’t shy away from trying or being fearful. Shame they are where they are, but if they maintain belief, they can get out of the bottom 3 because there isn’t that much points difference between Forest 13th place Leicester.

2nd January 2023 at 5:26 pm #202196Great news for Liverpool that Toney is out. Should have far too much for a Toneyless Brentford.

2nd January 2023 at 5:30 pm #202197Don’t do an Adlab and Nine Ed, by saying we should have “too much” for such and such a side. Everytime someone says that we drop points π

2nd January 2023 at 6:09 pm #202199What a shambles. Tsimikas not really the type of player suited to this time of game with the level of aggression, concentration, and experience needed. We are being bullied. We lack depth and more than anything, we need to be clinical from the opportunities presented to us.

2nd January 2023 at 6:15 pm #202201I’ve never felt this low during a match in spite of being a goal down to when we played Villa and lost 7-2. This really is a complete disaster and all our authority and discipline out of the window. We need half-time.

2nd January 2023 at 6:17 pm #202202Klopp can’t get a tune out of these players. We can’t cope with other teams intensity.

2nd January 2023 at 6:24 pm #202206Was worried when I saw that midfield. Thiago and Fabinho can only start together when they have a strong runner with them. Unfortunately Henderson is the only strong runner we have and his legs are on the way out. Elliot is a great player but not for this system and should never be in a midfield with those two.
Having said that the defence is the most shocking today. Konate unfortunate but the marking for the offside disallowed goal was non existent and then nearly as bad for the 2nd goal. Feel for Alisson trying to bail this lot out all the time.
Nunez.. unlucky I guess. Another big chance missed however.

2nd January 2023 at 6:26 pm #202207No adlab , no faith in us to pull this around. Said it before the game, donβt get bullied and we have. Absolutely shocking defending. Pub defending and we absolutely deserve nothing from this game. FairPlay to Brentford. Out done us in every department. Shocking stuff

2nd January 2023 at 6:31 pm #202209Ironically I did, thought it was a great first touch. Maybe when you’re in the goals you think less and just play on instinct and it would have been a goal.
Yes we are bullied. But we are also misplacing all over the place. Weak or mis aimed passes by nearly everyone. I’d hook Elliot at HT for Keita.
