Mikus, there’s just no substance there mate; no Spirit, minimal get-up-and-get-after.
Just a low and we were aided in truth by Leicester’s errors (Individual).

30th December 2022 at 10:14 pm #202055Mikus is right midfield is the route if our problems has been all season. Need high intensity players there. He’s a great footballer and probably our best in the middle tonight but just don’t think Thiago is suited. Obviously not tonight but I don’t think you can play him and Fabinho together they just are too immobile. Henderson seems to lose all his ability when playing the 6. Keita did pretty good, could had been such a good player for us if not for injuries and inconsistencies.
Nunez, he is still chaos. Defenders have no idea what he will do next, pity his team mates or himself do neither! Getting into good positions but lacking the composure needed from an elite striker. Hopefully this can be fixed and he could be a top player, but his skill set does remind me of Werner and he didn’t last long in the premier-league.

30th December 2022 at 10:28 pm #202056Rightly, question marks: Why frequent injuries on the same individual players and lengthy absenteeism?
Think back to 2017…………………..
That Stock would still hold 10-20 years ago. But look at the game we now play; 200 miles an hour, it’s ridiculous. God’s honest; the players want TIME to SETTLE and to pass the ball……….only to be caught out in minutes.
The Fundamental Problem for all to see is that our ‘main Weapon’ either is all but not existent. We are beyond Floundering. Forget about other teams; We are in a Problem here, because nobody at the moment is scoring any goals for us. This is a Joke and beyond, I’m sorry to say.

31st December 2022 at 9:13 am #202061Worse performance I’ve seen from the Reds for a while and we were gifted and I mean gifted. Shocking.

31st December 2022 at 10:16 am #202062I enjoy watching nunrz. Chaos! Is that an assist for him threeps mate lol
Thought thisgo was excellent but we need a real bully on midfield. Konate comes in for matip now.
I’ll take that win all day and that’s 4 wins from our last 4 games. Real tough game Monday now.

31st December 2022 at 10:36 am #202063Nunez and Salah developing a bit of a partnership. Two great balls for Salah . His finishing is really letting him down though
Gakpo has to come in straight away for ox. Konate for matip and maybe even Keita now for his pressing .

31st December 2022 at 1:39 pm #202086Sorry Sean that wasn’t an assist for Nunez. Not sure an OG can ever have an assist to be honest as I think an assist needs to be intentional.
“Among the players in Europe’s top 10 leagues with 500 or more minutes played this season, Nunez ranks first for shots per 90 minutes (6.0), but 99th for goals per 90 minutes (0.57).
He has had 52 attempts on goal in the Premier League this season but scored just five goals, while he has missed more big chances in the league (14) than any other player.”
As said if he could actually finish he would be deadly and be already 9 or 10 goals better off. But at the moment he is lacking in the composure needed for an elite striker. Hopefully Klopp can coach that in but as Chelsea saw with Werner it isn’t as simple as that. We shall see.
Agree regarding Konate it’s his time to take the spot for his own.

31st December 2022 at 1:55 pm #202091It’s a good point about not being aggressive enough. That’s my only criticism on Tiago. Love the guy to bits because of his attitude, application and technical ability. He was ruined after his injury against Chelsea.

31st December 2022 at 2:04 pm #202093Ah I know threeps was joking mate but yes another contribution for a goal. His finishing really is becoming an issue even as a team we are not putting away our chances.

31st December 2022 at 2:06 pm #202094Fred very lucky not to have two yellows in quick succession
Goal for Rashford. Been coming from the first minute. Wolves have very little up front. A relatively easy three points I think._____________________________

31st December 2022 at 2:14 pm #202097Rashford a tad unlucky with the handball but he really is is playing well at the moment. Vital that we get him tied down to a new deal. I have a fear we’ll lose him to PSG on a free.

31st December 2022 at 2:20 pm #202099Look at our subs bench today. If we add CBs to those on the bench where do you think that team would finish in the EPL. Serious question.

31st December 2022 at 2:25 pm #202100Comfortably top 4 Adlab I think.
A good win in the end for us against a side who are much better than their league position would suggest. Especially under their new manager.

31st December 2022 at 2:56 pm #202104Wolves just have nothing up top. Rashford is full of confidence and an absolute match winner was always in him. Huge talant just had a few tough years . Good away win for utd

31st December 2022 at 3:35 pm #202111Adlab, I do agree that the strength of city’s squad is overstated/overestimated.
Not that you don’t have the best group of players in the league, I totally think you do, but it’s not huge and there is not 2 world class options for every position like many assume.
Ultimately its not about the players contracted to the club, it’s about those that play week in week out and in the key games. Granted pep has the best team but he has also been masterfully rotating his team over the years to minimise risk of injury and maximising the minutes played by his absolute key players like de bruyne.
Should city lose the likes of haaland or de bruyne at same time for considerable period it would certainly show in performances and results over long term.

31st December 2022 at 3:41 pm #202112Prem goal number 21 for Haaland and we ain’t even in January and had a month without games!
Never been more jealous of a signing in my life, no wonder roman did all he could to try to get him previous summer and how much better than lukaku has he turned out to be! 😆 Would have been worth the 150m we offered without doubt!
Always destined for City though and with a bit of luck with injury he could be destined to break all records too.

31st December 2022 at 4:19 pm #202117Ten Hag really has brought in discipline. First and Foremost, he wants players with the right attitude and discipline. Full Marks to Rashford in taking his medicine for being late which I believe was the explanation for him being benched.
Good Relations being able to swiftly move forward and not bare bad feelings. It paid off in more ways then one.
