Absolute scum nine. Horrible to hear
Haaland is going to smash 50+ goals.
Never watch city unless a really big game as they just dominant the game and itβs boring.
FairPlay to Arsenal. I thought they would have floundered by now.

29th December 2022 at 12:49 pm #201931Football brings people together so those horrible incidents that unfortunately took place should be viewed and shamed at every ground to remind people that it’s sinister and totally unacceptable in our society.

29th December 2022 at 12:52 pm #201932The reservation naturally would be the lack of experience under Arteta placed in this sort of position at the top. Kudos to him in what he has achieved so far. Rightly he shouldn’t be criticized if all of a sudden, the Gunners were starting to descend from their results.
This is learning and the disadvantage of course over City is the experience they have this time of the season in being able to turn the screw and get past the finishing line.

29th December 2022 at 12:55 pm #201933We will be heading into WEEK 18 come Friday of the Gameweeks, but just keep this thread; easier putting everything in here. Yeah, enjoyed Amazon’s coverage, refreshing, but now back to good old Sky Sports hehehe π

Likewise Nike.I’d be happy if Amazon bought the whole lot.
I liked the interview with both managers on the pitch before the game πSky has come to it’s end of life as far as I’m concerned. They’re reporters are
more concerned with stoking the flames before the game(espeically before our games
against livarpool)Also the after match interviews are pure clickbait.Trying to get the manager in trouble if
there’s been a contested decision during the gameSpecial mentions for Guy Mowbray,Peter Drury & Jon Champion who imho are at the top of their game. Also Ally Macoist & Nedum Onuha probably the better pundits.

29th December 2022 at 5:04 pm #201951PPT,
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you have pointed out re Sky. I don’t particularly like the narrative the best of times and I can see bias towards one team.
For example, if that team isn’t winning (as expected), then they’ll place emphasis on them rather than crediting the opposition.
I think there’s a few too many ad-breaks. It’s had it’s day. Amazon reminds me a little of ESPN some years back. It’s restricted living in England because of course, there’s Sky and BT that are the Monopoly.
Fully agree on those Commentators and Pundits mentioned, plus the point of interviewing with a code of conduct and decorum than being provocative.

29th December 2022 at 8:14 pm #201964100% agree Nike. All social media nowadays is awash with sacking managers after one or two defeats.
Honourable shoutouts to Mark Chappers Chapman on MOTD2 and Pablo Zabbaleta at the world cup
for these in my earlier msg._____________________________

29th December 2022 at 8:53 pm #201968PPT, absolutely all true and it doesn’t take a genius to grasp what’s actually going on. Media driven more than ever as it keeps their own position standing and relevant.
We don’t need SSN 24 hours. The Sport and the industry in itself is not the problem, it’s what’s been fueled and the way it is managed that is ruining it unfortunately.

29th December 2022 at 8:55 pm #201969Actually miss Zaba, PPT. Good Player and an Absolute Gent. Few posts have appeared on the other thread re City’s money, but by no means did that bolt of success happen overnight.

30th December 2022 at 9:54 am #201983Just before you lads kick Sky into touch it’s worth remembering they contributed the baulk of City’s TV revenue of Β£164m and Liverpool’s TV revenue of Β£162m.π

30th December 2022 at 5:14 pm #202012Nine, first chance of me able to get back to your reply.
With respect mate, Sky effectively were unrivalled for the best part of 13 years. Before BT Sport came in, Sky’s competition briefly was Setanta and ESPN in England.
You think the amount they charged consumers to be able to watch something that was once upon a time available on Terrestrial TV for free. Whatever the monies paid to clubs as part of a TV Deal agreement, they have beyond minted households for years.
They have been the monopoly and those dedicated to their sports naturally would subscribe to Sky. It doesn’t come cheap. Those millions highlighted has been fueled by the scale of transfer fees and players wages that have been ridiculously heightened not to mention the involvement of Agents.
I appreciate there are clubs out there do rely hugely on TV revenue aside their gate money because they may not as much commercial activity and involvement compared to your very popular teams. Those alternative broadcasting networks in my eyes showed if allowed, there is good competition with a good service and those points highlighted by myself and PPT as positive customer feedback and criticism on Sky in which they themselves are not ultimately immunned from it.

Wall to wall games were not available on Terrestrial TV for free!
Up to other TV companies to bid against Sky and BT Sport too much fracturing of the current coverage will cost fans more.
Once upon a time I had Sky now I have Sky, BT Sport and Prime costing me considerably more.

30th December 2022 at 7:21 pm #202022Okay, so we’re starting with young Elliot who should ignite the midfield with a spark and energy. Happy to give Ox another chance. Let’s hope a better game for Nunez.
Our first return to Anfield since the World Cup and our final for 2022.
Here’s hoping the conclusion is a good performance and 3 Points!

30th December 2022 at 8:10 pm #202029Same old problems. Completely casual in midfield, and defenders playing high in defence vulnerable and easily caught out.
