Strange that the two star players of last season, Salah and Kane, were the two on each side who looked the worst players for their respective teams

15th September 2018 at 4:15 pm #26359Been away for 3 weeks so not posted for a while, but back to enjoy our top of the league start without yet hitting top gear. VVD – what a bargain he seems now!
And just to wind Jim up (smiley face!!), Milner yet again our M-o-M

15th September 2018 at 4:16 pm #26360Fair points pax especially first half spurs gave it away.
Just happy we won and we can still go up a couple of gears without a doubt

15th September 2018 at 4:18 pm #26361Something up with Salah Hightown. Getting very greedy.
Top 3 were better today but no were near clinical enough.
Early days and plenty more to come from them. Firmino was excellent today

15th September 2018 at 6:08 pm #26362City stepped off The gas 2nd half. But a comfortable win still. Great to see Sane start and score. Good win for LFC Hightown. Easy to be motm when you join a team that finished 25pts behind the champions. Milner seems to have found his level ?

15th September 2018 at 6:12 pm #26363Good win, 5 on the bounce, Hazard hat trick, top of the PL and top scorers too but most importantly 3 more points towards hopefully reclaiming a CL place.
Decent start for Sarri but tougher days lie ahead.
Re not hitting top form yet I don’t think any of the top sides have hit top form yet and there’s more to come from them all.

15th September 2018 at 6:56 pm #26365?? Thankfully, I don’t have to touch it Nine. I use a plugin which is updated by a third party. It’s correct now though isn’t it?

15th September 2018 at 7:25 pm #26366Brilliant from Hazard and Giroud. i have to say Willian has responded well with being benched today. if Hazard can score 30 this season, Pedro can go closer to 20 and Willian can get 15. we can be fine. that is what Liverpool does and it serves them well. otherwise it has been long since i last posted here. and alot has changed since then. very happy to back among the footy community.

15th September 2018 at 8:18 pm #26367Hazard is on fire.
Interesting game at the bridge in two weeks lads
Good wins for city and utd
Rafa and Newcastle in dribble already but difficult fixtures
Strange team selection from rafa though

16th September 2018 at 9:47 am #26373No worries Ed I was just joshing.? a
Always nice to see your team at the top of the table even if only for a week or two but I never take much notice of Chelsea being top until there’s two games to go and Chelsea are 7 points ahead which I think is unlikely to happen this season.
Still it’s been a good start and hopefully we can do enough to get ourselves back in the CL. Cheers 999

16th September 2018 at 1:40 pm #26377United and Spuds to miss out on the CL places they way things are going.Liverpool could have easy scored 10 yesterday considering the amount of times Spurs gave away the ball near the penalty area.

16th September 2018 at 2:36 pm #26378Jim – thought you would come back at me with Sterling scoring yet again for you! I guess we’re both happy with the players we’ve got from each other!
A bit like Sean, I’m not getting carried away, well, maybe a bit more than sean is, but we have a lot of tough games coming up, and we need to get our front 3 firing like they were last season before I get too excited. I’ve a feeling I might come back down to earth on Tuesday evening when we entertain PSG at Anfield. Even with VVD, Allison and Robbo, I’m a little nervous about what Mbappe, Neymar and Cavani could do to us. And then after Southampton next Saturday we have Chelsea and City in successive weeks, so that should sort out the men from the boys.

16th September 2018 at 2:46 pm #26380And as for the little spat that I missed while I was away between Jim, Sean and the Ed, I did enjoy Ed’s comments about moaning fans, but I equally enjoyed Jim’s response. However successful a team is and however greta their football is, football fans love to moan, and assume that the world is against them, be it referees, the FA, the media, whoever! I think it is fair to say that the only proven case of where there was an agenda was Hillsborough. All other ‘agendas’ are simply the opinions of our own natural bias towards our own clubs, and that should never change.

16th September 2018 at 3:33 pm #26384Hightown, club rivalries aside, I don’t think you can really compare the media coverage of Hillsborough after a criminal conspiracy by those in authority with anything.
Ps Sterling gets better every month! He had a great game yesterday.

16th September 2018 at 3:49 pm #26386Without wishing to open a discussion again on Hillsborough, surely the media coverage in the days after the tragedy had the knock on effect of encouraging opposition fans to sing the disgusting ‘always the victim…’ song which has carried on to this day.
