Can only see a two goal winning margin for United. The Spurs v Liverpool game is a much tougher call with all three results possible.
Currently a Spurs victory would be best for Chelsea.
The 12:30pm ko is just superstition Sean if Liverpool can win at 3pm they can win at 12:30pm and I think the circa ยฃ140m spent on the Liverpool defence should make at least a draw for Liverpool possible.
You’re right though if Liverpool drop points and Watford drop points at OT and Chelsea beat Cardiff they will go outright top of the PL table but that’s meaningless at this stage other than hopefully accumulating another 3 points to try and reclaim a CL place which in itself won’t be an easy task.
Chelsea do have a strong squad but from the team that won the PL they’ve now lost Courtois, Matic and Costa all massive losses who played a huge part in the last title win.
I can only see a CL place challenge as imo Chelsea are still short of a striker capable of scoring 20 PL goals in a season and a dominating Centre Back. But stranger things have happened!?

13th September 2018 at 9:57 am #26250Ed, I think Watford are well over achieving and will be brought back to earth on Sunday. I donโt think utd are in as much disarray as people are making out and I expect them to win comfortably on sat Wasplicker-Are Watford playing on Saturday or Sunday?lol

13th September 2018 at 10:35 am #26254Nine, the early kick off ainโt just superstition. Weโve played 28 early kick off games under Klopp, winning 10, drawing 9 and losing 9, so we drop points in 2/3 of these games. In fact last season the record was even worse: played 8 games at 12:30, won 1, drawn 5, lost 2.
Sean, agree fully about Keita. Think he could be huge for us this year and thereโs still been more than enough signs in his games for us so far that thereโs a player there. Just think itโs taking him a bit of time to settle personally at the club, which is why Klopp has hooked him a few times.

Nine Chelseaโs defence is currently around 160m. Liverpoolโs is cheaper and has played a lot less together. Iโm not going overboard after our start to the season and Iโm certain not going overboard about our defence who need to concede a lot less then our previous few seasons to have any hope of challenging for anything
Chelsea have a new manager but conte proved it before after Chelsea finishing tenth and I think they will be right up there. Hazard is bang in form and they have a fantastic squad. Iโd never write them off
It is early days but after ten games Liverpool were well out of it last season
Next 4 games are huge for us with city spurs and Chelsea. Come out of them 3 points off the top and great. Lose a few of those and it could be game over already

13th September 2018 at 1:26 pm #26258Sean, we were debating Spurs v Liverpool and having watched all of Liverpool’s 4 games I’ve been most impressed with their defence and the signings of VVD and Alisson have added real defensive stability and they are one of the reasons Liverpool are 2nd favourites for the title and seen as genuine title challengers this season.
I will be surprised if Liverpool don’t take at least a point from Spurs although from a Chelsea perspective currently I would prefer a Spurs win. Sorry!?
In respect of Chelsea we’ve done well so far and should beat Cardiff but then we have a difficult run of games PAOK away on Thursday night in the EL and a long trip to Greece, West Ham away in the PL on the Sunday, then Liverpool away in the Carabo Cup followed by Liverpool at home in the PL and playing Thursday and Sunday isn’t very helpful either.
Chelsea also have a new Manager in Sarri trying to implement an entirely different brand of football, a new young Keeper, a midfield three made up of two new players and Kante being played in an entirely different position and we still miss Costa both his presence and his goals.
For Chelsea to be a title challenging team again I think we need to strengthen in the striker area and in the Centre back area which won’t happen imo until next Summer as well as retain Hazard who whilst brilliant is likely to leave next Summer and I wouldn’t rule out that a deal is already done and agreed by all three parties a la Ronaldo previously.
Given all of the above I think a realistic title challenge is probably beyond Chelsea in the short term and our main objective has to be reclaiming a CL place this season.
But as I said in my previous post stranger things have happened!?

13th September 2018 at 2:32 pm #26260My mistake I assumed United v Watford was at OT probably because United played away last v Burnley whilst Watford played at home.
Watford v United is a more difficult game for United I would say a draw or United to win by the odd goal.

Wouldn’t be surprised in Watford got a point at least, they played very tight at the back against Spuds, blunted everything rather impressively, and can easily see a 0-0 on the cards there.

13th September 2018 at 7:13 pm #26271AnonymousI think United will win this one cause Watford brilliant as they have been will find it hard to sustain that form if not impossible, they dont have enough top quality. All good runs come to an end for some sooner than others. Dont go breaking my heart says the ex owner.

13th September 2018 at 10:18 pm #26278How old are you Adlab?
I really do read some bullshit on here from city fans. You think the worldvis againest. The world hates city and their players etc. give it over.
Why not enjoy what you have? A works class football team who are winning trophies
Jimโs comments in sterling during the week aswell. Sterling has improved under pep. He has been excellent for city and he Is a brilliant player for them but he objective. Heโs Shite for England and itโs plain to see but no the media are on his case because itโs sterling. Their on his case because heโs a knob and doesnโt perform for his country
Itโs going on a while on here. Iโve read some real shite. Grown men not being objective about football. Bigging up their own constantly.
Agenda is absolute horsrshite Adlab
